MoM last night - Iverson. He pulled off 3 or 4 special saves and I don't recall him putting a foot wrong. Highlight was him catching a cross virtually on the edge of the penalty area. Great for relieving pressure and something we never saw Mr Rodak do while he was with us. Lincoln fans were very impressed with 'man-mountain' Crooks who had another great game. However, they didn't think, as a team, we were up to the quality of Pompey. Difficult to compare really. The only comparison I brought to their notice was our respective positions in the League!

Agree on Iversen he was much better last night overall,. I think at a similar stage to where Rodak was with us he’s a stronger keeper of the two.

Wasn’t a pretty game but it’s those types of games that get you automatic, never really felt threatened by Lincoln second half and felt like we had control of the game.

Doesn't worry me keep saying it. I'm from the Rotherham area. Rotherham United have always been my team. Just a few on MM take offence to my posts but abit brainwashed Warney boys like some on here. I'll be proved right favoritism never works. Want us to go up to show that.

You'll be proved right favoritism never works eh?

I bet you wouldn't be saying that if it was YOUR favourites that were playing. And as for being proved right, you aint been proved right yet matey. But then again, a stopped clock is always right twice out of 24.

... morning all...

another plus today is that we can relax, have a drink or two, enjoy all the racing, footy results coming in, and watch the Rugby knowing whatever happens we will still be top.

In fact, we should still be top next Saturday morning, barring some spectacular results on Tuesday..

UTM.... SUPER SATURDAY, ENJOY!!  biggrinbiggrin

Racing for me today. Will watch the football scores come in. Watch quest highlights tonight like I always do, hope to get a glimpse of Lamy. Mattock was rested as a precaution with his back. Could have played if necessary it's said.

Just seen extended highlights rode our luck in the 1st half better in the 2nd good goal. If we had won 2 or 3 nil it would have flattered us a bit.

It's good to have the likes of Ipswich, Sunderland, Portsmouth and Coventry chasing us. These arent small clubs. Some of them are playing each other today so there'll be points dropped. Coventry v Portsmouth on Tuesday. It's all good.

Great result and given what's happened today it was vital we won. Looking at the next 4 games there no reason we can't get minimum of 9 points (Coventry on a Tuesday night will be tricky). The rest all have to play each other and we have 2 fairly easy months to come which is better than most of the rest of the top 6.

After Tuesday we could all be bunching up together. On paper it looks as if we have winable matches football never quite works out that way.

I did find your post saying that if Warne doesn't manage automatic promotion this season from the position that we are at at the moment he should be sacked rather bizarre. Who has taken the club to that position in the first place. It would be like Leicester sacking Ranieri if he had finished second in their title winning season.

A manager only gets so long in a job don't you think warney is already working out his next move. There is no job security in football if he were to do that can you blame him. That is why I don't blindly follow anyone with a job like that there is always somebody else that will jump into his shoes.

Can't see any club that's got any ambition wanting Warney. He's only still here cause TS who I can't fault in any way he's settled for what we are. Rotherham public don't back the club enough so just keep the club ticking over.

I reckon he could get a job in the prem league if that clown at man utd has got one. Ex miller player Wilder and former manager Knill at the blades ( they are going on a European tour next season) he must have a chance.

That has to be the most outrageous statement by anyone who has ever claimed to be a Rotherham united supporter. Is is crass, offensive and down right degenerate. You really need to see a doctor; seriously.

I'm not even going to debate the point except to say that it has to be the biggest load of 5hite ever to come out of what appears to be that addled brain. And you complain about the behaviour of our away supporters, your behaviour on this forum with regard to the manager is just as bad when in my view you lack any sense of morality when it comes to Paul Warne and his purpose of executing his duty as manager, not to mention the effort and professionalism of staff and players.

Who gives a toss how long you have been a Miller (if you ever were) with 'supporters' like that who needs you.

Calypso it's true & you know it. Could Warney manage a bigger club than us. Answer undoubtedly no.

Agree with everything you say Calypso but I'm afraid you, like me previously, are wasting your time. However, just to ease your mind and convince you that it's not just us, this is a quote from a moderator on the MM site in response to a post from gwru - 'Please stop making silly needless comments and folk will stop complaining and asking for you to be banned!'

You're talking out of your backside as usual gwru. You have no idea whether clubs might have spoken to or enquired about Warne. Just because there is no story on the highlights shows you watch doesn't mean it hasnt happened. Warne is a very highly rated young manager. Every pundit you hear talking about him talks very favourably and they did so during last season as well, because anyone with even half a brain knows that it was a mammoth effort for us to even be close to staying up. You are wrong about almost everything football related, and you and your brother chip are about the only ones who cant see how stupid you make yourself look on a daily basis. If you really are a Rotherham supporter you will appreciate that for us to be at or near the top of League One is nothing to be sneezed at. We are doing it within our limits unlike many of the teams above us in the pyramid who risk their futures by bending or breaking the rules. Thats what we have to try and compete against - clubs who have four times or more our income to start with but who are not content with that and get tens of millions of.pounds further into debt each season. We are in a very good place, run by good people who are genuinely honourable (it hasnt always been so) and who on the whole are doing a good job. There is very little to moan about, but you manage to moan on a daily basis with your incessant small-minded bigoted garbage. When there isnt actually anything to moan about (eight wins out of nine for example) you set the scene ready to start moaning if we dont go up or even if we do. I honestly wish you would just **** off.

Not sure why you guys keep reacting to the trolling. What's the saying "never argue with an idiot, he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience".

Its a good point.  It would be better if the trolls weren't here though, and they are very persistent.

All I'll never agree with Warney's way. Favoritism doesn't wash with me. See whose right if we go up. I admit will be hard to keep us up but Evans & Warnock managed it the latter with his fair share of luck.
