A good letter in the tizer from a genuine supporter totally agree with everything he says. There are some people I have talked to have stopped going to away games for the same reason. There is no way I am going to waste my time and money to be forced to stand with a load of oafs like that. Before some of you get on your high horse there are some of us who can't stand for long periods and have other health problems.
There's only one that I can see getting on their high horse. Also, I don't have health problems. Should I go to away games or not? Is it my choice, or do I have to do as you do.
Lucky you if you had seen that letter you would know I was talking about as a fan who won't go because of that bad experience at the Peterborough match. If you want to have go at me because I don't go to away games because I am knackered
You accused people of getting on their high horse, for no apparent reason and I questioned why individuals can't decide if they want to go to away games. You keep repeating that I'm having a go at you when it's you that is attempting to enforce your views on others. I don't give a flying one if you go to away games or not. You should come to see my band and chill. We're not bad.
That letter in the tizer it's signed at the end. This supporter must be a good age he's been watching us 60 years. Says younger fans in front of him stood up.all the game. Is right to expect a supporter of his age whose paid to sit down being made to stand up?

I think considering what gets chanted at us regarding the you know what scandal the chants to Fergie last week were fairly tame. He took them in good nature as well by the looks of it.
The better we are doing the more idiots we get going away but it's still a minority. My daughter and I choose to go to a fair number of away games. You know what you are likely to see and hear and to take it for what it is. With the standing up, it is a consequence really of forcing people who would rather be standing up to buy seats. I agree though that common courtesy demands that you dont stand throughout in front of someone who can't, and ruin their enjoyment. The Accrington game will be better. The majority of tickets are for standing behind the goal but there are some seats available for those who want them. Perfect. The sooner they introduce safe standing sections at all grounds the better. I stood at Peterborough because it was physically impossible to sit down if you were more than five feet eight tall. That might have had something to do with it. As I said on another thread, the facilities there were appalling and didnt add anything to anybody's matchday experience.

Peterborough is particularly bad for leg room so I can understand the standing. I go to a fair few away matches and sometimes it is frustrating when people are standing and others less mobile having their day out spoiled. Should have separate sections for standing and seating. We also have some enormous two hats that follow us and behave disgracefully but so do all clubs - it's football's curse.
There seems to be no thought from the clubs about how they treat away fans. If some who go want to get absolutely hammered no problems from me surely they could arrange for people who don't want that to do that be in a place where they feel safe after all those who go pay enough for a ticket.
