I'm fine to go to away games but do you think I'm going to spend that time with not all but some idiots who spoil it for everyone else, no way. I don't think we want to go up cause it's a cushy number for players not good enough to step up a league staying in league 1. We'd have got a defender in by now if we were serious about going up. Waisted game at Peterborough. Got to play 3 in midfield against the better sides.

I think if we want a top two finish it is a mustn't lose game. However the poor work in the transfer window questions the desire for that top two finish. Hopefully we will get the result and strengthen the squad for the attempt at automatic

its always a strange one the January transfer windows as prices are inflated and what team is going to let their best player leave on the cheap

Hillsborough you are correct but we keep finding excuses for us doing poor business in january. Now there is still time so I will remain hopeful. If we do not do anything then we only have ourselves to blame, after last January we were told that wouldn't happen again

Woody does it again two brilliant tackles then pops up with the winning goal just before half time. As I have said before he is our leader he is our guide.

Was a solid all round performance. Wood couldn't fault him. Barlaser was outstanding.

Yep. Including the one that would have been snarling and telling everyone where Warne went wrong. He seems to be AWOL this evening.

And right on cue, here he is. To quote an MM poster, Crooks was immense. How would you evaluate his performance?

We absolutely deserved that win... even the BBC report says we deserved to win by more and were better from the off (they are normally less committal)

Squeaky bum time at the end and thought we were going to get mugged... but we didn't.

Bring on Burton....

Come on you ******* Reds !!!!!

TC Crooks nowhere near as sloppy as I've seen him did well. Master stroke playing Thompson at right back.

'Solid all round perdormance'. Lol. Is that it? What would we have to do for the manager and all those players you have written off so many times to get some genuine praise, and for you to eat a huge portion of humble pie? We stopped the.team at the top playing and created countless chances. Ihiekwe must be the best defender in this league by an absolute mile. Thompson looked class again. Crooks and Barlaser totally bossed the midfield. Being picky, we should have been more clinical and got a second goal because Ipswich almost stole a point at the very end, which would have been a travesty. Another tough one on Saturday against a Burton side going very well. Fantastic stuff.

We were outstanding tonight Thompson is a real leader on that pitch what a find he is. I thought our front two were slightly under par but as a team we were wonderful to watch it could have been 4 or 5. Smith needs to gamble and attack the ball in the box a few crosses were wonderful tonight and if he anticipated and attacked the front post he would double his goals in a season. Mattock is our weak link for me he gave the ball away so many times twice from throw ins I just think with his bad back he will not last 18 games we have to invest in the left side to add depth to the squad the league is there for us if we want it and now is the time to strengthen, Sunderland are blowing big money and although we shouldn't be silly we have let three players go all left sided it is common sense that we need to add to the squad

Magnificent performance tonight all around the team. If Ikky or Woods missed a challenge I must have been looking the other way. Crooks is superb. Breaks up play, puts himself about and gives Barlaser the time to play his impressive game. Ake on the left gets better and better. He has a great touch and that curling shot that smashed against the bar was Premier League quality. Ipswich were made to look extremely ordinary by our hard press tactics. They had no attempts on goal until well into the 70s minutes. Then I only counted 3 on target. I was delighted that Warney decided to play Thompson at right back. His enthusiasm is immense and his understanding with Ogbene is first class. If we continue with this level of performance, no-one will catch us. Congratulations to all the players on a monumental performance and to our manager and coaching staff who continue to prove all their doubters very wrong!

Mattock looked more like it last night. Warney went back into his Warney's boys mode with his substitutes. Why wasn't Lindsay on for Crooks? Then with Lindsay more defensive could have brought Lamy on instead of Ladapo. But not knocking anything about the starting line up performance. I didn't feel the cold last night watching that. We looked strong & taking game to them.

So what is the actual problem with Warneys boys or drinking green tea for that matter????
The formula right now seems to be working. Tell me I'm wrong

in regards the subs, it was a toss-up between wiles and Lindsey

great performance, by the lads but the jury is still out for me on mattock,

Thompson was outstanding captain material in my mind for when wood hangs up his boots

on another note the ipswich assistant was a real moaner

Calypso we needed to kill that game off. Ladapo he's not going to run at defences. Lamy would have been a better option with Lindsay covering in midfield.
