Freddie has to start in the event Vas isnt fit, if we get ourselves in front by some margin only then will Yates arise from the comfy chair (formally known as the bench)

We get a lot of injuries and PW wants a small squad we cannot keep a steady team. Crooks is a big loss vassell is a sicknote we should not be trying for promotion and relying on Yates as cover very worrying nobody on that bench to really change the game unless Hastie starts to show something. We need to strengthen this week otherwise we will repeat last year's mistakes, making errors is human repeating them is stupid. Let us hope we have enough for Ipswich and Burton

Hastie must be on his way out he cannot even get off the bench ahead of Yates and Lamy something not right there almost like PW wants him to be called back. Do not understand doing subs in 92nd min when we are losing and bring MacDonald as one of those subs, however we will see if we can recover on Tuesday and Saturday big games if we are to be serious contenders.

You have got to love twitter we lose a game officials fault. When did that happen last oh when we played Hull?. Tuesday night very important we need a win if we are to do anything for the rest of the season home wins are a must. Two players required in this transfer window a defender and forward see if Warney chickens out like he did last season. Feel very sorry for Yates puts him on for the last few minutes brilliant.

We didn’t deserve a deal from that today. They were much sharper than us today and did things with more conviction.

Not the end of the world, could do with our two in form players back for Tuesday (Vassell and Crooks) we really missed Crooks today and they way he basically runs the midfield.

I do owe a massive apology to the ladies and gentlemen on twitter I have seen the hand ball in the last few minutes. Seen it half a dozen times it is the most blatant penalty you could wish to see. Any hand ball by a defender penalty maybe the ref chickened out as well.

Regardless of if it was pen' or not which I haven't seen I told you last night what would happen. Warney just rotates his pals. Ladapo & Adelakun two of Warney's boys who haven't got it. I'm not having Crooks runs our midfield another I don't rate. Lindsay what's he done wrong he was our best midfielder until his unavoidable absence. Mattock comes back so he puts Wiles in midfield tell me if that's not the old pals act what is? Yates he's brought on when games nearly over it no wonder Yates mum didn't want him back here. To cap it all he brings Mcdonald on whose got to have something on Warney cause he's had his day as a professional player. Tell me otherwise. Where was Ladapo's lots of fighting spirit!

It's been all but confirmed Yates going back to Swindon if it turns out to be true what a waste of everyone's time.

The most predictable post ever! You must have been salivating at the thought that, at last, we had lost a game and you could bring out your anti RUFC bile and utter those immortal words "I told you so"! Pitiful, predictable and filled with the usual imbecilic accusations and nonsense.

An off day for Rotherham which, after 5 consecutive league victories, should not be surprising, particularly with our star midfield general missing.  Onward to Tuesday and hopefully a full strength side to face the league leaders. Should be a great night.

UTM. Onwards and upwards.

Whose star midfield player not Crooks. Lindsay yes along with Barlaser. Swindon manager he's more or less confirmed Yates he's returning to Swindon. Hope we have a Striker lined up fit ready to play more to offer than Adelakun.

Are we supposed to shuffle the words around until they make a coherent sentence?

So, Crooks plays in 5 consecutive league wins. He doesn't play today and we lose. Spot the obvious!!

I'm only posting once following this match. I'm not going to get sucked into exchanges with people who enjoy complaining when we dont win so that they can tell everyone how clever they are. As somebody much cleverer than me once said, you can't win a battle of wits with an unarmed man. Gwru predicts defeat every week and like a stopped clock he is correct occasionally. Well done gwru! We weren't great today but it was still a very tight game that could have gone either way. The key moments went against us. Cheo got caught dallying for their first. The resulting ricochet could have gone anywhere. It broke perfectly for them and they took full advantage. It was a good finish by Toney who I have to say played well today. The second goal was well worked. Query whether Iversen could have come out and cleared it - the lad slotted it home from not far away from Iversens starting position but he stayed at home. Maybe I'm being overly critical. I'd have to see it back. We generated some pressure second half but it didnt quite break for us. Their keeper made a good save from Smith. From where I was sitting - and it was right in front of the away following - it looked a clear cut penalty to us in added time. The full back slid in with arms outstretched to block the cross and he blocked it with his hand. The ref was never going to give a penalty that late in the game to the away side though. That's the way it goes sometimes. We can't expect to win every week. I think you have to be grown up enough to accept that sometimes you can lose without looking for people to blame. We gave it a fair go against a decent side who are good at home, and it wasnt our day. There were no standout performances but everyone was decent. We certainly missed Crooks for his physical presence and composure on the ball. Looking forward to Tuesday now - first v second under the lights and back to the top if we win. Happy days.

I reckon the Barlaser/Crooks midfield duo is very effective because Crooks does the hard yards, has a physical presence and allows Barlaser the time and space to be an effective play-maker. I'm not sure Wiles has the same effect and, if he's fit and Crooks is still injured, I would consider Lindsay alongside Barlaser on Tuesday night. We need a bit of bite in midfield.

The manager got it wrong today I agree with gwru Lindsey is our best midfielder but he doesn't seem to be warneys cup of tea. I thought we would lose today hope the wheels aren't falling off the cart we might get some idea on Tuesday.

You and the other half of the gruesome twosome weren't there today. You know nothing about what happened. Feast on the Millers defeat. Have your moment in the sun. You have been waiting for it for a few weeks now. Enjoy.
