I've not really rated Wycombe this season and thought they were in an unrealistic position in the League. I don't see them as automatic promotion contenders and I'd be surprised if they made the play-offs. Peterborough are once more flattering to deceive!
I know what you mean about Wycombe Glenn but they seem to be hanging in there. At this stage you have to take their challenge seriously. I'm hoping Peterborough get at least a point but have to work hard doing it. They seem to be imploding. They always seem to be a bit on the edge with their somewhat unconventional chairman, with the colourful Barry Fry involved for some reason, and with one or two egos amongst the players. I never thought I'd feel sorry for a Ferguson but I do a bit for Darren. It cant be an easy environment in which to work.
Result tonight be looking for. Peterborough at their ground on a going day for them difficult. For us Saturday would treat it with caution bring Lindsay in, just play Ogbene only wide man. Two tasty home games to follow Ipswich & Burton. If we have got the right player in or one more in this window & are still top of the league should be positive for the remainder of the season.

'Result tonight be looking for. Peterborough at their ground on a going day for them difficult'.
Sorry gwru, but I can't believe you have edited your post and left that in. I'm not fluent in Yoda! I'm not trying to be pedantic. Spelling is one thing, but it is helpful if you post in a language that people can at least understand.
Wycombe have a nasty habit of squeaking through tight games. Peterborough seemed to me to lack a bit of steel at our place, although it is dangerous to judge a side based on one performance. If I was a betting man my money would be on a Wycombe win by the odd goal. Anything less than that for them, plus maybe the odd suspension and (non-serious) injury for Peterborough would be a bonus.
smiler I haven't sat English for a lorra lorra years. Maths was my subject in the work I've done. I'm not brought up on computers but can get by on them. Sure most can get what I'm trying to say. It's all in my head my opinions about Rotherham United. I learnt something Saturday before the game same as when I was told Morris was leaving. It's what I've said all the time they all p*ss in the same pot. Nobody can break ranks. Lamy must have something to make a breakthrough!
I can understand you perfectly gwru I am that good I manage to comprehend the messages from the warney gang. Best result tonight Peterborough to win or we are doomed to 2nd place.
I doubt that you walk round uttering sentences like 'Peterborough at their ground on a going day for them difficult' gwru. If you do, you must get some very strange looks indeed. I honestly have absolutely no idea what that sentence means. Your explanation as to why you can't string words together properly proves that you actually can. It doesn't add up. As a maths man, you will understand that.
I think we have known for a while that the two of you (gwru and TH Miller) speak the same language. No surprises there!
If we were 'doomed to second place' after the last game of the season, I would be delighted. I suspect there would be one or two complaining about not being champions and calling for Warne to be sacked either on the basis that second represents a failure because it isn't first, or that we would need a better manager than Warne in the Championship. And I am not joking.
smiler no problem. What I meant was when they are on their game Peterborough away for us will be a challenge. I've said I want something to play for, got that!
Peterborough went into this game with no wins in their last seven and Wycombe had only won one of their last seven (on Saturday), so i think it's fair to say neither team were in form. Peterborough went ahead after a penalty was given for a handball by a Wycombe defender who also got sent off to add to their problems. From then on it was apparently one way traffic with The 'Posh' running out easy winners.
Dembele was back for Peterborough and on his day is one of the better players in this division. Toney got a couple more and i believe we have a tough assignment away on Saturday. This is a side who like us can score ( top two goalscorers in the league). We seemed a much more physical side than them at NYS and they seemed to give up after an hour. I think a point on Saturday would be a good return. That would put a bit more pressure on the Ipswich game, but that will be the norm as we sit on or near the top. I still think we have the players to go close, especially if we now can have a good run free of injuries and get the players back to give us good back up. Strap yourselves in as the roller coaster gathers speed.
I agree with all that Whiston. Three points or even two points out of the next two games would be no disaster. When a team goes down to ten men after twenty minutes you cant read too much into the result. We should still have the fresher legs on Saturday and when you add that to the way we overpowered Posh at home I am hopeful, but it will be a difficult game for sure.
Not a great fan of Toney. Virtually invisible against us at NYS and previously when he played with S****horpe in the play off semis. Not sure he would make it into a Warnie set-up!
Warniola needs to get them watching the DVD of the last game Vs posh and tell them to do exactly the same. They won't be able to live with the pace of Ogbene unless we get a ****e ref that allows them to kick him off the park.
