Another good day at the office for Warney and his boys. Blackpool were no pushovers and were far superior to Peterborough. It was another game in which we had lots of possession and attacking intent, but few direct chances on goal. Blackpool should have been one up early on if their man had kept his head. I'm eating my previous critical words on Barlaser as he is growing into a great play-maker and his set pieces are superb. His corner for Smith's opener was like a dart and his late free kick was class. I'd have made him MoM but it was difficult to pick out any individual today.

As for the officials; we had a female lines person who was afraid to raise her flag for anything. At the opposite end we had a male linesman who used his flag but at the wrong times. I haven't seen their goal playback yet, but from where I sit - in line with the six yard box - it looked as though at least three of their players were offside. If I'm wrong I apologise, but it looked a poor decision. As for the Ref, some of his decisions were unfathomable. However, it's not an infrequent observation at NYS these days.

Great start to the New Year - onwards and upwards.

Agree with all of that GlennM.

Did you hear Barlaser's interview on Praise or Grumble ? It was great and he clearly is loving being a Miller and mentioned the great team spirit.

A few games back I wasn't bothered if he went back to Newcastle but he's turned me around and now he looks a great asset.

Looking fwd to Hull game although I care more that we don't pick up any more injuries than the result..

Only thing I'd argue with is Warne's post match comments about needing a winger and another striker - surely we need cover at full back and centre back first due to risk of further injuries, we have cover everywhere else on the pitch..

My son says we played well and at the moment you have to say we do seem to be finding a team that look different at home than they did only a few weeks ago, so yes you have to give credit to the management team for that. When you are doing well is a good time to strengthen others will so we will see the ambition at the club.

If Warne wants another winger and striker I suspect that someone is leaving in Jan. We need a left sided defender who can play centre or full back

After hearing PW's comments about the transfer market recently, I think you'll find this is a bit of smoke and mirrors. Suspect he'll be keeping his plans and his targets close to his chest until the ink is dry on the contract!

I did think that at the time Glenn, but then thought, naah, he's not that sort of bloke to play games... hope you are right!

Derby we don't need another left back. Olsunde did well enough there, got Mattock to come back. See what league we are in next season but as I said if we do give a player a longer contract in this window it's with a view to be good enough to play in the championship. Obvious we need cover at centre back. All will be revealed but I know for a fact we are going to need another big forward.
