I could be totally wrong but I think Roy Massey was a centre forward he was also a school teacher at Kimberworth.

Are you sure about him being a teacher at Kimberworth? I was at Kimberworth school at that time and I do remember Bob Earnshaw who was a PE teacher and in charge of the school football team . Earnshaw also played for Barnsley, Perhaps Massey was there before my time.

Roy Massey was student teacher on teaching practise. Bon Earnshaw was certainly the pe teacher and took several lads to play for Barnsley.

It has been announced he is battling a neurodegenerative condition very sad news. The best player ever to pull on a millers shirt in my time watching Rotherham.

Totally agree. With today’s diet and coaching methods he would have been world class. He had the ability to get up early for headers and seem to hang in the air waiting for it. He could also play on the floor. When we signed him he was playing left wing for Notts County reserves. I think Neal Hague would be a close second based on natural ability.

RIP and thoughts to his family.

sorry mods but if you choose to look at just about ANY thread, you will see that my original post is now supported by just about everyone except the offending 2 posters.

I can accept and welcome normal banter and opinions, but the posts from these two has NOTHING to do with anything a true fan would say.

they are Trolls, and as such do NOT BELONG ON THIS SITE.....

I will post no more on this thread, over to you guys....

Just thought I'd bring this thread back to attention, that's if there even are any mods on here?

Mods - take a look at the Championship Transfer News thread please.

If we can keep comments relevant to the thread topic, fair enough.. but again and again and again threads are hijacked, people bite and get upset, and it ruins the debates and stops people posting.

Once we get some proper pre season activity, it would be a shame if nothing is done to stop the spoiling... It would be nice to enjoy a season and be able to share views about football, the team and RELEVENT thoughts.

Dear Mods,

I've kept my powder dry lately, but things are getting WAY out of hand  now.

Just about EVERY THREAD is getting highjacked, so take your pick if you need evidence.

Sad, but it really does need sorting out please...

By long posts, do you mean posts that make sense with properly constructed sentences? As opposed to your garbled mix of random words thrown together? You’ve even hijacked this thread!

FFS... It gets worse by the day... nonononono

They revel in the criticism and attempts to rein them in by other posters, in they same way they revel in negativity.

They simply add nothing but misery and doom. They should be banned, simple as.

If we can't have a 2 x Ban, can we open a new site with everyone except ?

Presumably the email and other details identify them to you Mods??

I/We want to have good banter about the Millers... it's simply a bad joke we allow these two (one?) to spoil everything that anyone posts...

Enough is enough the latest today was beginning to get very personal and insulting. Not good enough mods. It will kill off this platform before long.
