Message to Mr Top Cat so our chairman has is partly to blame for the poor season in the Championship. If you put a fraction of the money he has put into the club you would be a nervous wreck. Some of you warney gang make me laugh. I will never knock anyone who puts money into the club I didn't with Ķen Booth also Tony Stewart.
I can search for posts from you last season if you like. You were one of the most vocal need five strikers, a few more in midfield and defence brigade.
Gwru has an unswerving belief (based on nothing whatsoever) that his gut instinct is usually right. THMiller is either a straightforward malcontent or a wind up merchant. The pair of them have no interest and will give no regard to facts, figures, logic, expert opinion or common sense. Advance any of the above to counter what they say and it is just ignored. You can not engage in sensible dialogue with them.

You've no interest in maths as you call it. It's not maths, it's facts. Coughlan one full season as a manager in League 1, no promotion. 0%. Paul Warne, one full season as manager in League 1, one promotion, 100%. No maths involved, unless you are unaware that 100% is better than 0%.
Someone on Mad posted a link to a Radio Sheffield interview with a football finance expert about our accounts gwru. You should listen to it. Our average player wage in the Championship was one fifth of the league average. Our total revenue was a fraction of what some were getting just in parachute payments. It waa remarkable that we nearly stayed up. If you were listening to Warne when we went up, he tried to keep us up by having a strong team spirit. The alternative was to overspend a bit and gamble on a couple of players who might have made the difference, but that is very risky when that someone is on more money than the others. Someone maybe like a Dexter Blackstock or a Scott Allan, or maybe a Jake Forster Caskey. They dont always work. They often do a lot more harm than good. We lived within our means and gave it a good go and just missed out. Now we are rebuilding again and are sixth. Len Miller put it best. For once, get off the guys back and try getting behind him instead of moaning all the bloody time and finding any excuse to put forward your half arsed theories and grumbles.
Football isn't about maths or totally finance though I admit with our budget last season would have made it difficult. Tell me another signing apart from Robertson who was a championsh player. How did Evan's keep us up?

Maybe by signing 12 or 14 players through the revolving door. The Millers have signed 4 players in each of the last two seasons.
Maths or facts?
I always present my facts as facts and opinions as opinions, but you seem to think that your opinions are facts cos "go to home games mean all"
I see that you have relented somewhat from your stance that Tony Stewart walks on water, in your post that referenced The Millers made a profit last season and that profit should have been spent on players to keep the club up. But of course you see the bigger picture than anyone else.
By the way, I consider your command of the English language I consider to be a level or two below that of Unai Emorrhoid, but he had the excuse that his native language is Espagnol, and he didn't take too well to English. So that can maybe be justified.
TC as TH says we lost more the season before than the profit we made last season so Tony Stewart he's going some way to balancing the books. No problem with that. Not a fact but it's got to be a different club to when Evans was here. Warney can't have the same money available. There's no player like Tavernier here now.

Evans had way more leeway to wheel and deal. He was allowed luxuries that were not at Warne's disposal. In the season we finished fourth bottom with Evans in charge in addition to bringing in twelve new signings pre-season we used a total of nineteen - yes, that's NINETEEN - players on loan during the season. I am willing to bet that some of them, like Ledesma, Becchio and Jack Hunt, would have been costing us more per week than any player got near for us last season. Warne had much the harder task yet he only finished six points and one place worse than Evans managed. It is precisely because we overspent in the past that Warne has had to operate within a relatively tight budget. It is a totally unfair comparison.
You can't explain facts to those with their eyes closed and their hands over their ears. WE ARE FIVE POINTS AHEAD OF WHERE WE WERE AT THE SAME POINT DURING THE LAST PROMOTION SEASON. Comprendez?
Where I live all the millers fans want warney out the ones I talk to. All I wanted to see this season is a good few wins I would have been happy. The last home game even the Advertiser ripped the performance to bits. The next 3 home games just give me something to cheer I will change my tune we need to go into the new year with a bit of hope. I take no interest in stats it's all mumbo jumbo to me stop watch spitting Pete and his gang on sky I never put a match on until kick off time.
Two seasons ago we had Ajayi & Vaulks that's difference forget stats, points difference. Warney he's never convinced me he's a manager. A manager he's got to have the final say on signings. McDonald terrible signing. Barlaser Morris Clarke Thompson might have missed someone what do they bring to the side. Evans had more money but this league now is alot weaker than 2014 promotion to the championship season.
