It is a simple question I am asking where are the players like him with his attitude. I think some of you live in la la land since he signed for us in the magic days of Evan's I make no excuse for the fact he is my favourite player. We haven't got a another player like him at the club it will be a sad day when he does go. I would hope the club could could keep him in on in some kind of role.
Wood same as Jones add McDonald shouldn't be here they should have been put out to grass before now. Got to be Wood & Jones last season, don't want them keeping on in any capacity. Get a replacement for Wood January transfer window good enough with some years left in him. Badly need a midfield player in the Vaulks mode.

The results since Wood has been injured indicate we miss him. We beat Accrington 1-0 in the first game of his injury period. Since then in the last five we have let in eleven goals. I find it very difficult to understand why people are saying we should get rid of Wood and Jones. When they are in the team (especially away games) they give a better balance to the back four and in Wood we have a player who can organise the younger players in front of him. I find the call for Hinds to come into the team bizarre especially when we have Mattock, Jones and Robertson who have all performed well in that position. Perhaps they know something about Akeem i don't.
Clearly Whiston you don't understand the game at the professional level. How it works is on the eve of a players 30th birthday he can be a world class player. When he wakes up the following morning, he will be useless and drummed out out of the club because he's stealing a wage. I don't know how Gary Cahill, James Milner and Glen Murray get away with it. WAGE THIEVES THE LOT OF THEM. And quite why Pep wouldn't want an experienced old head such as Richard Wood on the coaching staff I find rather bizarre.
The good news is that Jamie Vardy turns 33 next month so presumably he'll be available on a free in the transfer window when Leicester get shut of him. On Hinds, never mind that Warne is a qualified professional who sees him every day in training and presumably knows him inside out. Forget that - after a truncated spell at Bradford PA we'd be better off giving him a go in League One on the hunch of a layman who reckons he can spot a player. If that wasnt actually what was being suggested it would be funny.
There's over 30 aged players & over 30 aged players. Risk level it's too high type we get. Potter Jones McDonald for example. Wood he's been a good servant but needs replacing. We aren't a big enough club to employ any more coaching staff. Regards left back position Mattock he's not impressed me this season. Robertson or Jones not the answer. Hinds went into my notebook 1st time I saw him, was as good as Wiles then. Didn't look worst player in our side when I saw him earlier this season. Less a risk than signing ageing injury prone players.
Woody is a good player and can still offer us a lot in this league. He was found out in the championship but cant tell me he isn't good enough for this league.
The other thing Potter, Jones and MacDonald have in common is that they have all been excellent players at a good level. Sometimes a club like ours will have a punt on the odd player coming back from injury because they give you experience and quality you might not get otherwise. They will all have rigorous medicals before signing, but there might still be a slight element of risk that is thought to be worth taking. Sometimes it works. Arnason was 30 and had just come back from a ruptured Achilles injury when we signed him and we got a class act who hardly missed a game. Tranmere took Potter on even after we let him go and he has played games for them. Also, having people like that around the place on the way down (so to speak) helps the younger players on the way up. On Hinds, you're just wrong gwru. Look how Warne brought Wiles through. If he thinks Hinds is ready he would have played him when we were down to our third choice left back. He must not think he is ready. It would damage the kid to throw him in too soon. Do you remember Mason Warren's debut? He was promising and played in an injury crisis and got turned over big time and never played again. He's currently at Mickleover Sports I think. Why not trust the professionals in charge who see the players every day and trust them to do their job, instead of carping all the time?
smiler I don't like Warney's way so I'll have my say. Older players good enough under contract can point younger players in the right way but don't want them hung around like a bad smell. Wood: not good enough if we go up so no point offering him a new contract if we are a promotion seeking side. Tell you why the manager won't pick Hinds it will upset his chosen view. Old pals act! Don't know why we haven't gone for Coughlan, need a change here.
Gwru I just don't see Warne going we are 6th from top. I agree with you that Warne seems to have issue picking youngster except for wiles. Who to my knowledge is only the 2nd player to progress through youth ranks since yates

We have got 3 out of the next 4 games at home I am not full of confidence if we can pick any points up. This manager has come to the end of the road Coughlan should have been brought in looks as if he is going to Mansfield time for a change is long overdue.
Why is it some posters seem to imagine any manager that gets mentioned is better than our manager, get off his back, and if you make as much noise at NYS on Saturday as they do on here it will be deafening, that's if you do go to NYS.
Some interesting stats for TH Miller and gwru. Coughlans win percentage in League 1, the only league that he has managed in, 43%. Warnes win percentage as Rotherham manager is 33.8%.
However, in my opinion, Warne was hung out to dry in both Championship seasons. The first season following the clusterf*ck created by Stubbs and Jackett, the second season, arguably, by Tony Stewarts lack of financial input.
Knock out the two Championship seasons, and Warnes win percentage is....
60%. Not bad. Pick the bones out of that. If anyone cares to argue with my figures, I'm not going anywhere. The maths aren't rocket science.
Only noise you will hear on Saturday is the sound of shuffling feet when the ground empties with10 minutes to go. I have never heard the ground as quiet as it is there will be someone at the back of the nets singing Warneys red but they will be drunk. I will be there against Fleetwood probably watching another pulsating game.
