Burton were a typical Clough side and will give anyone a hard game in this league. They had done their homework eg stick tight to Barlaser and don't give him time on the ball. Jamie Murphy is a great signing and the fact that Quinn (who couldn't get a game in the Championship) was so influential tells us a lot about the level of League 1 football. Crooks was immense. We need to look after him because Lindsay for all his enthusiasm does not have the same class. Got to agree about Adelakun and Vassell who are both lazy. If they had both put a shift in yesterday's win would have been far more comfortable. Somewhat relieved we have brought in the kid from Huddersfield to challenge for that position. Mattock is beginning to annoy me. An extended contract and what happens ? !!

He flatters to deceive. There are two scenarios
1 he is playing through pain barrier as Warne prefers him
2 mattock knows Warne will never drop him no matter how bad he plays
I still think to a match earlier in the season
V Lincoln he was captain. He got caught out of position and walked back WALKED BACK. Then took a corner which went over everyone his reaction was to break out laughing.
For.some reason Warne would rather get rid of the left back or put on the bench rather than drop him give the other player a chance and compare performances

Got away with it Saturday. If they are ready I'd bring Tilt & Koroma straight in. If we are playing 4-4-2 need Lindsay in midfield for Crooks to give us some cover. But as Hillsborough says there seems to be certain players Warney won't drop. I'd have Olosunde in for Mattock. Tilt for Wood. Lindsay as I've said for Crooks. Koroma for Adelakun. Ladapo for Vassell. As TH says let's show Lincoln why we are too of the league.
