Something needs to happen as this for me is another January transfer window with lost opportunities to make it a special season. There is still time but not long

Very much doubt this chairman will be spending any more money on team strengthening.

Hastie has gone Lamy goes up the pecking order get him signed up on a longer contract. It could mean some movement in the transfer window Yates could be going back to Swindon will we see a couple of signings before the Burton game.

Hillsborough don't know anything. Not likely to. Hope it's an improvement to the squad if/whoever we bring in.

..but I think the club were hoping Hastie would go back, that releases money.

Plus I expect Yates will go back to Swindon.

So both of those mean we can potentially bring someone in without spending anymore than we were before.

I reckon we'll see at least one coming in, but I haven't got a clue what position it will be. (I'd say we needed cover at the back but with Mattock and Thompson back, maybe not..)

Looking fwd to tonight but I already have a nervous tummy...

If you watch post Match freeview on OP, Warney says he's hopefull of getting one or two in by Friday, so we are obviously trying... we don't need wingers, we need cover at left back in my opinion...

Yates is he staying? if he is can't understand him not being on the bench last night when McDonald was on with Lindsay & Wiles there. If he's not need a big forward & centre back. Olosunde can cover left back.

Yates is going to Swindon.

May need some defensive cover as Robertson has broken his foot.

This has been doing the rounds for a bit Hillsborough. I think i indicated this on page 2 of this thread a week before christmas. Not sure it would be good business for the player or the club. However, it might make JCH a big earner

JCH to Sheff W nether heard anything about it. Nothing in that. Yates gone back to Swindon on loan for rest of the season.

I know you don't read my posts Gwru and i don't expect you to, because you have forgot more than i know. The pigs have been monitoring JCH for at least two months, but as T.C. says they probably haven't a pot to p in.

whiston01 I do read your posts. You know what you are on about. Must have missed what you said about JCH though wouldn't have thought Sheff W would be paying much in transfer fees.

I agree Gwru about Sheff W not paying much in transfer fees. However, they will be getting some in, and have just signed a loan player from Europe. If JCH stays at Bristol R, then if he proves he can stay fit, expect the pigs to be in him in the summer, when they have had their clear out.

So what is your half term report on Paul Warne gru? Is he weak? Have all the signings been lame ducks? Is he scared of upsetting all his mates? Do all his players love the club because it's like a holiday camp? I'll be interested in you opinion.

Warney he's doing good. I enjoyed last night. He's made decisions. His signings this season incl' loans would say in most cases have worked. If you get over half of the signings you made in the summer to work which he & recruitment have done it's a success.
