Not time to change the manager

I want Warne to get the full season. He has been backed by the board he has the coaches he wants and we are a reasonable size fish in the league 1 pond. We will not go down because we have enough decent players to get 55+ points, the question is how big will the + be. He needs to be judged when there is no excuses like people make in his two relegations. His promotion season means he deserves the opportunity this year. For me if he personally doesn't strengthen the coaching team and doesn't see how much we lack experience in the middle of the park and resolve that in January then I do not think he will get us near a top 6. I didn't think he would be our manager on 1st Jan but I think the board will support him u til May at least. Utm

Pinky and Perky haven't made a pig's ear it. When I was younger I thought they were brilliant more entertaining than garbage we have had to put up with at home games.

You proudly advised everyone that head of recruitment was an easy job, due to your vast knowledge of "going to home games, mean all"
and despite the fact that you have never been involved in the game at any level, cos "I weren't much good at football".

I tasked you with finding the next Will Vaulks. Scouting is so easy, all you need is Youtube. Still awaiting your response.

What about Pinky and Perky doing the job they might be able to bring home the bacon.

TC it definitely wouldn't have been McDonald. Vaulks replacement. Who signs players who haven't kicked a ball in anger for the two previous seasons. We did same with Jones he's injured more than he's played.

It definitely isnt time to change the manager. It shouldn't even be under discussion.

Mr 'More Right Than Wrong' might be keeping the identity of Vaulks' replacement under his hat, but he went public with his choice of replacement for Warne last time he wanted the panic button pressing. It was Phil Parkinson who since joined Sunderland (who let's face it have far more resources than we do) and has a record there of won 2 drawn 3 lost 6 (not counting a couple of furthèr defeats in the Mickey Mouse Trophy). Some of their fans already want him out. The moral of the story is to be careful what you wish for.

I'm not saying Parkinson is necessarily a bad manager,, but I am saying that sacking the manager isnt necessarily the quick fix people sometimes think it will be.  We arent in such a bad state that we need to roll that dice.  We are live candidates for a playoff tilt and have some good young players.

Who the hell do you think we are Barcelona? Your (& one or two more) level of arrogance is astonishing. Rochdale are a L1 side as are we but the undeniable tone of entitled superiority among some fans beggars belief. Where has it come from I wonder?

I did say wasn't sure if Parkinson was a Roth U type manager but he'll get it right at Sunderland same as Jackett is at Portsmouth. Ainsworth would now be my choice. Unhealthy at the moment. Warney doesn't seem to matter mess he's making here nothing changes.

Football is a results business our home games are pathetic. I am not to concerned if we don't go up this season it is the level of performances at home just not good enough. I am afraid that the manager has to take the blame for it. Time to make that change I am more concerned about next season we need to keep our supporters. This is the most boring time we have had at the NYS if anyone thinks differently change your glasses.

It's funny how people seem to think Warne can't get it right here and other managers can get it right. Well, lets have a look at some real facts, not a wish list or some made up perception. Paul Warne has two relegations on his record, one i would argue he could have done very little about and the other imo he did very well to come so close to keep us up. He got us promoted back at his first attempt. This season we have been as high as fourth and now after two defeats we sit just outside the top six. We also figure in the third round of the F.A cup. I would argue it would be harsh to sack the manager with that record as some of the knuckle draggers on here want.

Jackett who is going to get it right, is taking a bloody long time to do it. They sit below us and until the recent run of six games without defeat his tenure was being questioned. Portsmouth will be throwing a lot of money at it to get back up into the championship and will probably have their sights even higher. I think its's fair to say Jackett has hardly showed he is a top manager at his time at Portsmouth if you go by results.

The hero Parkinson whose past record doesn't show him to be this great manager some believe , came into the Sunderland job with them in sixth place. They are now just above mid table with only two wins in twelve under Parkinson. They have also been knocked out of three cup competitions under his management. Let's give him time though 'cos ' he is a good un people cry. The Sunderland fans are losing patience in him and the gates are dropping (still amazing support). When he came in he said he would sort it out, get crosses into the box and be a very attacking side. Apart from one 5-0 win the goals have been hard to come by. He is now saying he needs five players in the January window. Let's see if Sunderland get those players for him. If they do and he fails he will be toast.

Managing sides in the bottom two tiers is not easy. we have a good one in Warne and we should as 'Derby' says give him till the end of this season instead of this pathetic Warne out when we have a poor game at home.

The level of the performances at home is probably more worrying that the actual results. I wouldn’t say we make the same mistakes but it’s the same mentality of letting poorer opposition dictate the play and only deciding to have a go when we go a goal down.

Unfortunately 95 per cent of fans only see the home games and people aren’t liking what they are watching, it’s boring slow and predictable at the NYS. I’ve no clue how we fix the home form and I’m not sure the management and coaching staff are either, the only thing we’ve tried to rectify the performances is to switch dugouts.
