Gwru, you use 'Warneys Boys' as a derogatory term. I think what happens is that Warne picks the players who he thinks are the best players in each position for each game. Just because his opinions dont align with yours you somehow think there is something sinister about it. Frankly it's a good job he is manager and you arent, otherwise our top scorer (Crooks) and standout defender (Ihiekwe) wouldn't currently be in the side, or even at the club. You wrote them both off a long time ago.

smiler I admit when I've got it wrong. Ihiewke proved me wrong. Crooks he hasn't convinced me yet. Warney's boys get preference same last season. It's not the mainstays of the side they pick themselves. Positions up for grabs I'm on about.

I'm fascinated. What is your definition of a 'Warneys Boy'? And dont just name names. What characteristics does a Warneys Boy have?

Sending off changed the game obviously. I think we’d have really struggled to break them down if they still had eleven men on the field.

Hope Ladapo gets a run of games after his goal, he could be the difference in tight home games as he isn’t frightened of trying something different.

I half agree with you C. I also hope Ladapo gets his chances to play. He is an instinctive player who offers something a bit different. We will never know for sure, and I watched the hour long highlights on BT Sport not the live action, but it seemed to me that Maidenhead were tiring and we were increasingly dominant, and our goals were likely to come regardless of the sending off. The sending off obviously helped though. And it was a horrible challenge - foot deliberately raised to knee height and Wiles lucky to escape injury.

Yeah it was a shocker of a tackle. Another Maidenhead player tried a similar tackle on Wiles not long after which could have been nasty as well.

As Glen said, good win, decent performance against tricky opponents ,some game time for the bench and Ladapo looked very pleased with his goal and thats good because I dont want to see him shut out and lose motivation.

And if the FA CUP has lost its magic I assume when we draw Tottenham in the semi final most of us will stay at home feeling rather lethargic and demotivated and praying we lose so we dont have to think about a trip to wembley for the final. what a total waste of space that would be. Totally irrelevant and such an underachievement . I imagine the players wouldnt want to be play too. Such a waste of time.

The thing is though Ian we arent going to get to the semi final. If we do I'll pay for your ticket.  The gulf between us and the Premier League clubs is enormous. With some good draws and a following wind we could make the fifth round and make some TV money or a share of a decent gate playing a Premier League reserve team. That's the best case outcome. The worst case outcome is that we come a cropper against a lower league team and pick up injuries that derail our promotion push. We lost Wood for a few games already and Wiles was very lucky not to be badly hurt by the red card tackle. When Ferguson asked for Man Utd not to be in it because they had a ceremonial game to play in the far east the FA Cup had gone for me.  Each to their own though.  Sorry to be grouchy.

Look Wood he's done his job for us so I'm not going to knock him but along with Jones & McDonald they need fasing out. Lincoln game tonight time for fresh legs. FC cup you never know but our record in it doesn't fill you with any confidence. One thing I don't agree with it's getting Kayode cup-tied. Want him back in January, he'd be best cover we have for Smith.

Will we win tonight I always want us to not be end of my world if we go out of this competition give a few of the younger players a run again. The match on Saturday is more important on paper we have a few games coming up in the next few weeks which we should pick some points up but football does not always work that way.

Good on you GlennMiller. You are a true supporter. I admit it now I'm only a home supporter. You know that anyway.

Maybe your expert opinion wasn't so good. Don't worry. Lamy will win the match.

If by chance Warney does take a glimpse at these sites he'll be thinking whose this idiot on about Hinds & Lamy! Hope this game doesn't go against them. Not got a clue how the goals against were conceded.

Extremely soft penalty for first. Wasteful pass from Barlaser led to their second. Defence can't handle Akinde - big and strong. Thompson is composed on the ball but Cooper looks very green. Hinds has been fine so far but Lamy not making much of an impression. After a very dodgy first 15 mins we've come into it but Lincoln look dangerous coming forward. Lewis Price needs to realise he's not playing for Man City with the reckless way he tries to play it out from the back. Apart from that, it's bloody freezing.
