I'd go same team, assuming no new injuries and Crooks is ok, but Mattock has to be in for Robertson as a proper full-back - despite Robertson playing so well.

We are a better team with Wood in the side - he has to keep his position and as Captain unless we lose our form and need a change.

Tough game but winning it would show us we can compete all season if we keep the squad fit.

Mattock not been same player this season so far. Where's Hinds? You knew what side was going to be, just same old same old that's not pulled any trees up this season. Mcdonald shocking signing, never replaced Vaulks. Lamy who can cross a ball on too late. 5 midfield players in the match day 18? Old pals act! Cooper should have been on the bench. Tell me different.

Poor performance back to the drawing board for Mr Warne why we didn't we get the right midfield players in in the summer. Mid table for us I am afraid this is normal form with the manager we have time for a change.

Today proved why I wasn’t getting too giddy after a couple of decent results.

Oxford sound winners today but why? Ipswich were beyond dire last season and are storming the division and we are scratching about in mid table. Why is that? We should be doing much better am I’m not impressed at all by our hairy fairy set of players we’ve put together.

It’s a very good job TS has calmed down or Warne would have been well on his way.

We are a midtable team probably lower midtable. Issues for me are the same, problem with too many injuries, players look unfit and slow, no creative midfielder, awful tactics and in ability to change tactics. We seem to have bought a group of decent players and we just stick them on the pitch with no idea how to break teams down. A good coach can out think our coaches easily and we will be up and down all season, some people think that is fine for me with all the money spent i would expect top 8 and to be entertained. When they scored for 20 mins we had no attempts on goal in the last 20 minutes we had 2. It will take a huge effort not to lose the next two games against two very good teams, here is hoping for some luck.

Agree with Derby.

The atmosphere can be so flat at times because the style of play is non exsistent. I don’t expect us to knock it about for fun but it’s just aimless hoofs up the field at the moment. Sometimes it comes off great but if it doesen’t we haven’t a clue.

Agree with TH our midfield apart from Lindsay & Wiles whose only young so cut him some slack rest are woeful. Mcdonald & Barlaser have failed no other way to say it. Crooks 1st time I saw him come on for us could see he wasn't a footballer, same now. Try to get to January then do something about it if budget allows it. Can Warney put it right?

Derby if you haven't got enough tools for the job it won't get done. No good just bodging it up.

We will never win anything with Crooks / Barlaser / Macdonald trying to dictate our midfield.

Wiles / Lindsay and Hastie are no better than the young 5 a side players we see every week. Once again we huffed in disjointed fashion without seemingly a clue about using what we are good at / recognising triggers playing to an identity. This is where Warney has lost it.
Remember when Warnock had us? - everyone knew their roles, the opposition knew what we were about and we knew how to use it. We have no soul in the team, no ethos. Remember 'the spine' ? Our spine is poor. ICky was amazing today, Woody please give it up , the entire midfield 2 havent a clue, 3 run around like headless chickens. Smudge spends more time hugging touchlines.

We are completely wrong at the minute and personnel wont change it, we need to go back to basics. Schoolboy stuff today and big bottom lip out because we thought we were being hard done by by the officials. Tough get on with it, we should be pros and better than that.

This management team have once again proved themselves tactically inept. In this division the cleverer managers soon become evident. I keep repeating myself but Joey Barton, having conquered his demons, will prove himself the smartest manager at this level by a country mile.

The manager signs the players he tells the coach to coach them a certain way We had funds to spend We have now started 3 different formations. 433 422 411 but we started as 4 1 4 1 No width only hastie Wiles isn't a winger yes Barlaser to weak on ball Crooks is no much better

Well it's took one defeat for the doom and gloom merchants to surface. I think we should be giving some credit to the opposition who i thought were a half decent side

Derby states for all the money we have spent. We have let three players go for money (Ajayi, Vaulks and Purrington) and spent a few quid back on a couple of players. We have signed a lot of young players for the future and i really think we should cut them some slack.

We were second best in a lot of areas today. I am so disappointed in Barlaser and i think he needs taking out of the team as he offers very little at the moment. We do lack creativity and lack movement in the box. Smith will never give you that and whenever he plays the option of the high long ball becomes our main weapon. I cannot fault him for effort but we need a better option than hoof ball.

Wiles has to be given a run in central midfield but as Gwru says he is young and a work in progress. Crooks offered very little today and i am not sure we have a player who can fill that no 10 role. The wide men are young and again are learning on the job. Hastie shows in flashes what he is all about but i do believe Ogbene and Lamy have a fair way to go to get up to this standard.

They over powered us in midfield today and had players who were comfortable on the ball and a player in Fosu-Henry who terrorised Olosunde. I felt Matt was to blame for both goals. He looks very good going forward but his positional sense and defensive qualities have a long way to go.

If we go with 4.4.1.1 at Ipswich i think we will be well be beaten. Now i am going to repeat myself. We need to play 4.2.3.1 and give our defence an insurance policy in front of it. The two has to be MacDonald and Lindsay with Jones at right back. The rest i will leave to Warney. He has many options and i am sure they will find a way forward. Keep the faith.

Its been evident since day one that we lacked something. Of course, there were some good results and one or two decent performances, but never a feeling that we would win a game. Even against Coventry, which had everything go for us left me without future optimism.

PW started off full of optimism bordering on arrogance. All his thoughts centered on being good enough to play 433 and he bought the players he thought could do it. Of course, we can all now see they are nowhere near good enough. When it wasn't working it was because clubs came here to stop us playing, yet, what I saw was teams playing better than us with and without the ball. Arguably, we have been outplayed at lease 4 times at home and of course, our points tally is all the evidence one needs. However, PW would have it we are underperforming, which is his way of deflecting from his management difficulties.

1. 433, as much as I'd like to see it was wrong and suggests strongly to me that the management team did not have the experience and skill. Indeed, in last week's interview, PW suggested Smith has never been played out of position but was at fault for letting Ladapo bully him out wide. Yes, you heard it as well I presume. In a 433 neither Smith, Ladapo nor the management could communicate to get a very simple tactical shape on to the pitch despite training every day, playing 10 first-team games and having match and individual coaching analysis.

so first we saw Smith become totally ineffective and also lose his enthusiasm. Then we saw Ladapo often receiving the ball deep and wide and simply try to push the ball across the 18-yard box hoping to see goal. The opposition had so little pressure on it that it was rare to see a ball played into the box from anything other than a free kick or corner (which are totally dreadful anyway).

Then warne declares Ladapo and Morris are where its at and how they play together so well.

While all this is going on the midfield has seemingly no attention paid to it. It has gaping holes, plays on the back foot and there is little ability or know-how on display and in my mind I think we have not yet convincingly won one midfield battle against another team.

PW simply does not know who his strongest 11 are and for very good reason. He has bought mediocrity but where there is talent and strength he has stifled it.

Not one of the formations look strong enough to finish the season above midtable and half a dozen of our players are only average first division or league 3 players. I dont think there is one player who would get in the best league one squad.

The team is simply not bonding and with ridiculous tweaks like changing the dugout going on I think we can all unashamedly have a little laugh at what must be , or isn't going through the managers' mind. It seems to me that he has ran out of ideas this season and has both limited himself and the team by signings and tactics that were never meant to be together.

In Remembrance.
Lastly, it was very humbling and deeply saddening to be part of the football family today as both sets of supporters respected the wishes of family and friends and joined in remembrance of the tragedy of the human condition.

Despite the moan and the football of this season and the way it looks I think it was and is Football that ties us all together and at times can bring us closer than the game itself.

May the families and friends of the two remembered today find some strength and reason and meaning to continue on as they remember there loved ones and do what one has to do each day.
