He's seen him for 90 minutes. It only takes 80 seconds of away game highlights to pass your expert verdict on a player when you have grus vast knowledge of the game.
In your team Gwru you have left out Crooks who in my opinion was one of the best players on the pitch last Saturday. His partnership with Smith looked the way forward with him playing just off Smith. You have also left Wood out who also had a very good game. I thought Robertson lost his man for Donnys second goal but you seem to have ignored that. Isn't it you who says 'if you have the shirt and play well then you should keep it'. I think both Crooks and Wood have earned the right to play tomorrow after last Saturday's performance. That doesn't mean i believe Wood is a better option than Robertson, it just means he is needed for his organisation etc at the moment and Robertson has had a few off games of late.
I do not think Lamy is anywhere near ready to start in a league game. It looks like Ogbene could be. This is where i think the selection dilemma is for this weekend. Does Warney keep with the same eleven that started against Coventry, or does he play Ogbene wide on the right and leave Barlaser out to accomodate Wiles in the middle with Lindsay. I think he will start with the same eleven that started against Coventry and i would go along with that.
I’d agree with that Whiston.
I also think that Hastie, at present, is a sixty minute man so bringing Ogbene on to replace him is ideal, easing him back into action.
Though i think in a few weeks they could both start. With everyone fit we have real selection dilemas, but good problems to have.
Rule 1: if you've got the shirt and play well you keep the shirt. Rule 2: rule 1 doesn't apply if you're not one of my favourites. Barring injuries I can't see any reason to change from the side that started last Saturday. Certainly not on the basis of what happened in a midweek reserve team game. The bench will be full of players who had a good run out in midweek and will be chomping at the bit which is great.
Watch extended highlights tomorrow. But still going to say from what I saw tues if Lamy gets his chance he'll be our best winger. It's ok having pace, Lamy isn't slow but he's got that cross in him from the right also he's chip in with a few goals.
A great result and momentum building nicely better set pieces as well, league has some decent teams in it as well we have to be very happy with the last 3 games in all competitions
