If you think he is ready gwru based on what wasn't much more than a knockabout friendly then that's fair enough. I think he looked a bit short of the required quality even in that game. If we thought he was ready for league football we would have put him with a league two side and by the same token a league two side would have been in for him. There is a reason that didnt happen. The lad might yet make it, and I hope he does. My preferred selection on the left side would be Robertson at left centre half and Mattock at full back if Mattock is out though for whatever reason and it's a choice though between (1) putting Hinds in as a straight replacement or (2) playing Wood and moving Robertson across, I am going for the second option every single time. By a country mile.

I think if we win people will take it as a positive and hope it is the turning of the corner. We have the players, we need the heart and self belief, if we go behind we need the mental strength to battle and fight back. Most fans appreciate hard work, effort and desire we are no different. Another defeat and a poor performance will increase the pressure on the teachers, they know it and they need to show strength and positivity as well. Good luck to them all I will give them my full support during the game.

You're joking. We could win 10-0 & Stadler & Waldorf would find summat to criticise & moan about.

If they are stadler and waldorf then Warne is Kermit barker fozzie bear and hamshaw gonzo just saying. As those copped the flak most from those two. But to me if we win on Saturday it's a win nothing else but we carry on winning then the phrases the players needed to gel etc will be used. Lose the pressure on Warne and gang will mount. What made it stark was the lack of noise from the north stand v Tranmere. At least the real Muppets were entertaining

Because one thing is true at moment can we the fans say with hands on heart what we are seeing on the pitch this season is what we expected or paying our hard earned cash for. My team is Olosunde Robertson ickewe hinds Lindsay Hastie wiles lamy Smith morris Playing 4 1 3 2 using Lindsey as holding midfielder wiles the engine of midfield

Hillsborough go with that side apart from Barlaser in midfield in place of Lamy or Morris.

Warney says Lamy not ready. I honestly can't see Hinds getting nowhere nr the 1st team under Warney so hope Mattock at last starts. Iverson Olosunde Ihiewke Robertson Mattock Lindsay Barlaser Wiles Hastie Smith Lapado for me. One thing I don't agree with Warney I want to see wingers on their natural side not Hastie on the right ect...

I would have Morris ahead of any other striker at the club when he is 100% fit. He has pace, skill and wins headers.

I also like Morris, Derby.  He is a real line-leader.  His head injury was a setback at just the wrong time.  Interesting to hear Warne say in interview that the concussion protocol meant he couldn't even train effectively for a fortnight, which explains why he blew up a bit at Doncaster.

Morris isn't a prolific goalscorer but then neither is Smith.  I think I would try to find a way to get Morris central either with Ladapo off him or with midfielders like Lindsay, Wiles and Crooks supporting him if Warne prefers three in midfield.

Part of the reason that we got pushed back late against Tranmere (and it sounded similar at Doncaster) was that we couldn't make the ball stick up front and it kept coming back at us.  Certainly against Tranmere we were coughing the ball up early and also giving cheap free kicks away after we lost it.  Tranmere managed then to box us in.

Strangely given his size Smith (who I like) is more effective running channels than he is playing with his back to goal.  Morris is really effective at using his physique to hold the ball up and win free kicks.  I think he could prove to be a key player for us.

Smiler I agree 100% on that assessment of Morris and Smith. I am disappointed we sent proctor out he can score a few goals great to come of the bench.

Why are these players not fit or ready what is the point of the training ground we will find out on Saturday. I am having a flu jab in the morning of the game I hope that is not the most exiting part of my day. I can see the Rotherham crowd being very quiet even quieter when we all walk out with ten minutes to go when we are 2-0 down. At the moment I can't see where the goals are coming from Yeats is scoring for fun Clarke Harris also fun time Freddie not doing the business what the hell is going on at the NYS. It is a strikers graveyard.

Proctor never got it back, whatever he had. Forget about him. Smith he's our most reliable striker when played right not out on the wings. Morris not sure would you sign him? Me no. Carrying enough lame ducks now. Keep playing Lindsay get him 100 % up to EFL match sharpness. Hope that's the same with Barlaser. My 3 in midfield if up to speed Lindsay Wiles Barlaser.

Nice positive post that THMiller! Yates became a bit of a scapegoat with a section of our supporters but he showed at Carlise and now at Swindon that he is a decent player with an eye for goal. Personally I think a lack of pace might stop him scoring consistently at a higher level but as someone who knows where the net is he will always have a career. JCH has been done to death. He has had plenty of chances at other clubs, not just us, and he didnt make it happen. We gave him every opportunity including being very good with him after a long injury layoff. He never did it. Warne was one of a dozen or so managers who couldnt get consistency out of him. Mark Robins had a go after Warne and also let him go. He knows a fair bit about strikers. You can conclude either that a dozen managers all handled him badly or that the lad wasn't doing the right things. Good for him if he has got it together at last, but I dont think we can look back with any regret. Proctor I think could have done a job but he needs to be playing and preferrably starting every week and I can't see that he would have been with us. To borrow the sentiment of the post of the year from Davidedin, we have good players and just need to find the right combination for it to click. A bit of luck here and there wouldn't hurt. A dodgy penalty in our favour and a deflected own goal off a Bolton backside for a 2-0 win would do nicely.

I don't know where you get this bit of luck apart from Wiles where are the players in midfield. If we don't get a result against Bolton the writing is on the wall for our leader. After last week's surrender if we don't show up and give the crowd something to cheer which is long overdue I think he will be moving the dugout to his back garden. All I want see is some positivity around NYS then I can join the happy clapping club.

Looks as if McDonald is going to miss the match. A message to my besty mate Brad the miller there is only one muppet that is our manager all of these players unfit. When we run out on Saturday play the last verse of your favourite program this is what we call the muppet show.

Bolton have got to get a win under their belt at some point. Why not start at the NYS? On paper it looked like we were going to storm this league. Maybe 'storm' is too strong a word. What about breezing through the league? Not a chance! Our management team will be hunkering down in their new bunker come Saturday hoping for that elusive home win. I will also be hoping for a home win. I also hope that our home fans don't start shouting abuse at the away team's dug out should we lose. That would be beyond farcical.

Who came up with changing dugouts idea... bob the builder! As said if we look like losing won't be pretty for opposing coaches in there.

GWRU said a long time ago he was concerned about McDonalds fitness throughout his career, it looks like the guy struggles to play a few matches in a row, have we replaced Potter with another unfit player on sizeable wages?
Overall I think there is a fitness issue in the squad why that is there, can be debated but something isn't right and it is stopping us getting any sort of consistency within the starting 11 and even the bench.
I always look forward to the games, but I am not looking forward to this one, my instincts tell me it will not be a good day at the office, I really hope I am wrong because I would love to leave a Rotherham game again and feel good, after all i am paying for this!!!
It is well do***ented on here that I have little faith in PW leadership style and approach, it looks good when things are going well but when things aren't it and him are not strong enough to turn things around. We need a win so he can raise his head and a smile as well, we are all in this together and we all need to have a smile on our faces when we walk out of the ground tomorrow.

Reading tizer, what happened at Bolton last week regarding Rachel Warne. I never abuse anyone in person, no way can condone that. But you know it's a different world today with generations well down from mine. Warney hasn't delivered again in that last transfer window. There's no fight in the side. McDonald Crooks up to now Barlaser add nothing to midfield. No established left back playing. Still Smith only striker when played up front worth his place in the side. Money we had from transfers outgoing we still in most cases don't get incomings right that's what concerns most fans. A small minority of them will get ugly. Way of the world now.

gwru, I think we were away at Doncaster last Saturday.

A minority of supposed Rotherham United fans were fighting with each other at the Donny game. Maybe the real reason behind the Manager and Co moving into the away dugout tomorrow?
