The worrying thing for me is the performance levels. Have we genuinely played well yet this season? First half Wimbledon and for about 50 minutes against Donny is all I can think of.

The style of football is bland and we keep shipping late goals following on from last season. Ok the standard was higher last year but for me there is no excuse this season as to why we keep going so deep with the level of players we have at the club. The last time in this division bar a dodgy spell in the winter the football was fun to watch, committed and we always looked a threat. we are a million miles away from that at the minute.

The bloke is brilliant and he restored a lot of pride after the Stubbs and Jackett disaster but he's making a rod for his own back with awful negative substitutions and the style of play.

It is no 5 games it is 8 games, 4 defeats, 3 wins and 1 draw. No wins at home. I agree with an earlier post this good human being as a measure of suitability to play for the club is over the top, these are young men still developing as a person, we should judge them based on basic behaviour and performance on the pitch. Warne is far too negative for me, his interviews do not inspire me at all and I am not convinced his humble soft approach gets the best from the players, in fact the statistics show it doesn't. When your manager says publicly that he does not know what to do over a critical problem it is time to start worrying, this means he is not believing in himself, yet again negative. I will leave the in game tactics, it is clearly inept and doesn't require further evidence after Saturday. He needs to man up do his job stop wanting to be loved by everybody and be more positive. For me he isn't an inspirational leader, but the results will show if he is capable

Agree about some of the interviews. Some of them can be really good and knowledgeable but I had to switch the pre Donny game one off. I don't want to hear about how good Darren Moore and Donny are for twenty minutes I want to hear about our team, players, tactics etc.

I genuinely hope there was some home truths in that hour long dressing room lock in after Donny but I'm not so sure.

Warney what was he doing after the Donny game throwing Yorkshire tea bags round! He hasn't got a b*ll*ck*ng in him. JCH reason Warney should have been gone long before now. One of the most ridiculous decisions I can remember by a Roth U manager releasing a player like him for nothing it's beyond believth. Smith a different type of player as good a player he his but nobody else since near Jonno. Who we got now our players forwards. Ladapo we've been had there. Vassell next to useless. Last transfer window too many mistakes & before. Left back he won't play Mattock cause he won't sign a contract same as Williams. Why didn't he let Mattock go & sign another left back. Midfield Mcdonald & Crooks both same as Vassell nowhere near good enough. Still Smith only forward we have good enough. If someone can tell me different I'll listen.

So your saying he won't play mattock because of a contract. It may explain his poor performance v Lincoln. But I wouldn't even have him on the bench

If that was the case. Hit him where it hurts the pocket no chance of the extras they get from playing. Losing mattock Imo Is no loss i don't rate him but that's my view

Well it looks like it's a case of we must have jam today and we cannot give the management team any time to get the selections and system correct.

On the one hand it was earlier said this is a small squad(which it is) and now the very same people are saying Warne and Barker have been given a great group of players and another saying we should be doing better with this level of players !! Well, imo this group of players are a long way behind last years group. We had for the last few months last season Vaulks, Ajayi and Towell in the middle for most of that time( Crooks got in late on). Two of those went for 4 million. We have replaced them with a few quid spent, freebies and loans and we expect them to gel within weeks and rip the league apart. That's not going to happen. Gwru quite correctly stated Ajayi is better at centre half but for us he protected the back four and won the league player of the month for March, something we are desperate for at the moment.

Lets have a look at this great group of players. Iversen- looks ok but has only played a season in div 2. Olosunde- looks ok but has only played about six league games. Ihiekwe-- doing well, but was sent out on loan last season . Barlaser- only played a season for Accrington. Lindsay- played a few times in Scotland. Wiles- only played a few games for us. Ogbene- hardly played any games at all. Hastie- played half a season on loan in Scotland. MacDonald- 31 yrs old but only played just over 200 games. Smith- Only played lower leagues apart from last season and rarely scores more than six goals a season( he did ok in one season where he got 14) Vassell- had a decent couple of seasons for Blackpool but i don't think he has scored a league goal for us yet. Morris- had a decent season for Shrewsbury but hardly bust the net, scored about six in that season where they finished third. This is a young squad that has to be given time. Players like Iversen, Olosunde, Wiles, Lindsay, Crooks, Ladapo,Barlaser,Ognene and Hastie can only get better. One thing is for certain, they won't get better if we change the management team or get on their backs.

whiston01 you go to the training so you'll know what's happening there more than me. I just think it's time for a change of management. Players brought in not good enough now or fit enough since start of last season there's too many. Jones McDonald Crooks Ladapo Vassell to name but a few. We haven't got a midfield. Lindsay & Wiles hopes for them but the rest especially McDonald & Crooks no. Just hoping Barlaser can come good that there's been something stopping him being the player we thought we had brought in. Left back situation should have been sorted in the transfer window. I mean a 1st choice left back wanting to play as well as being fit to play.

I go up to training now and again Gwru, but i certainly don't know whats going on. You are stood behind fencing and nobody comes up and tells you how we are preparing for Saturday or who is to do what. I have said before Barker is very thorough and professional and has no messing about.

How you can say Ladapo is not good enough after a handful of games is beyond me. He did score eighteen times in a side that was relegated last season. Let's not forget our midfield is totally changed, not only the personnel but the amount we have in there. I will repeat what i have said before. I think we are too lightweight and the youngsters are looking for a leader around them. I am not sure MacDonald is the answer. His amount of league appearances to his age is a worry. He must have had other injuries apart from his well do***ented broken leg and for me these look to be taking its toll on him.He appears to move the ball around too slowly . I hope he proves me wrong. i would like to see two holding midfielders and if we could somehow get Jones fit i think he could be what we need. That unfortunately is a big if. I think another holder would help Barlaser. We have plenty of choices for the offensive midfield players. We have to be patient and i fully expect us to win comfortably on Saturday. If we were to be beaten by Bolton then even a happy clapper like me would be slightly worried. The next two home games are against sides who struggle to score (i know Bolton have a new team), i think this gives us a great opportunity to pick up six points. The Sunderland game in between is as tough as it gets. I would certainly not go 4.3.3 at Sunderland. Warne and Barker may have other ideas and in them i trust.
