Hope the loan move goes well for him and he can gain match fitness it has been a horrible time after the injury that happened 2 years ago against Charlton.

Been up to Roundwod today to watch the training. Barker,Breckin and Warne had been to a funeral of a 32 year old Millers fan. Top people and something you wouldn't have found 'Fat Boy Slim' doing.

It all ties in that Proctor has gone to S****horpe because the word around the place was we are after a striker that will excite us. We have paid 50K for Iversen and are paying his full wages. A lot of these loans nowadays from big clubs are with a downpayment!. I also agree with another post that Hastie is nearly here.

Mattock is fully fit. Clarke and Jones were pulling big weights around the field, with Clarke looking the nearest to full fitness. Price got injured earlier in the week and would have played against Wednesday if he had been fit. Lamy is up to speed and played in the practice game as did the new lad from Brentford. Apparently he prefers to be called ' Chieo'. We are working with Barlaser to try and get him to pass the ball a bit quicker. The only reason he has come to us instead of others is Newcastles faith in the coaching team. Same with Iversen. Leicester believe Pollitt can advance him.

The practice game which usually gives an indication as to what the eleven will be on Saturday. The Red team were as follows
Iversen. Olosunde Ihiekwe, Wood, Robertson. Crooks Barlaser. Wiles. Ladapo. Smith. Vassell.

In the game Vassell scored an absolute beauty, cutting in from the right and curling one in the top corner from the edge of the box with his left foot . All present, including players applauded the effort.

Just another interesting thing from today. Carlisle are to train at Roundwod at 2pm in preparation for their game tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if they returned the compliment when we go to Sunderland. Gillingham also trained at Roundwood when they came to play at Donny i think.

Proctor looked good in the few games before he got injured so wish him well. whiston01 don't spoil my day! That side is no fun! Get Mattock back. New winger get him in for Vassell. It's the entertainment business we're said to be in. If new winger isn't ready play Lindsay for Vassell.

Thanks for the Roundwood round-up Whiston - it's invaluable first hand info! I suspect your Red Team won't be too far from the starting XI tomorrow, although Mattock may come in if he's 100%. Warne will probably have a couple of the new signings on the bench in case he gets the opportunity to use them. However, he's got to go with what he knows and the newcomers will need to assimilate to the Rotherham way!

The Proctor loan makes perfect sense all round. Thanks to Whiston for the training ground report - it's a great insight. I think we are probably going to give somebody a right thumping soon and I hope its tomorrow. I get a sense that when we have players fit and clicking we are going to be formidable. The death of the young Millers fan was tragic. As well as going to the funeral today I know that a number of players and other staff visited the young man while he was receiving end of life care in the Hospice. We are not the only club good at that sort of thing, but I dont think there are many better and it certainly helps when the people at the top lead by example.

good one Whiston

Fairly good loan if it had to happen

who knows Robertson may be perm feature at LB.

I think he fits the 433 a lot better.

I wonder who would win a race between Mattock and Wood.

More importantly, who would win a race between Wood and gwru. I'll phone Brecks and get him to arrange it. Which format would you prefer gwru? A series of ten metre sprints to simulate a match situation, or a straight 100 metres.

TC leave me out of it, Wood gets paid to run. Against Wednesday b side forwards he'll be flattered but he's one on Warney's boys so most on here will fall in line with whatever their leader decides. If Mattock is fit he's got to play. I'd play Hinds if he isn't fit at left back move Robertson back to left centre back. At least then we'll get some crosses in from the left. I don't want to waist another near two hours watching 4-3-3. 4 across the middle, Smith Ladapo up front.

We know that morris and vassall are injury prone so now we have no competition for the front two, they havent looked like they will set the league on fire with goals. Proctor wanted to play and that required good man management skills to deal with a difficult situation, PW took the easy option send him out, now we have a real winger that can cross proctor would benefit from that more so than smith who is always 5 yards behind play

Proctor had to go. Not the same player. I keep saying it bring Kayode back but Warney won't play Hinds or Cooper so chances of him playing Kayode are remote.

We have a small squad and players that are prone to injury so why let proctor go? Because warne is scared on confrontation a coward as as a man get a real leader i to hold the big girls hand
