Parkgate today - players a credit to the club

I was dragged to Parkgate today to do some shopping but there was an upside in that my daughters got selfies with the players on the team bus that was there on a community/promotional exercise.

The players there were Dan Barlaser, Freddie Ladapo, Dan Barlaser, Matt Olosunde and Julien Lamy. They had come straight from training on a very hot day but couldn't have been more accommodating or any more friendly.  Particularly I have to say Lamy, who is very cool indeed and obviously desperate to get playing and make an impact.  Having spent a few minutes chatting to the lad, I really hope he does well with us and makes an impact.   He says he is training hard but not yet doing full contact work.  Not too far away though.

To a man though they were a credit to the club.  I guess it is in the sponsorship deal with Parkgate Retail that we do the occasional event like today there, but the club seems much better at this sort of thing now than it has ever been, which I think is really important.

Good point. One of them was masquerading as Jamie Lindsay!

True story. When Andy Goram was playing for Rangers he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. The popular chant at the time was "Two Andy Gorams, there's only two Andy Gorams"
