Don't want to jinx him but want Nadal to win it. He's a fighter, an all court player. Hope the dry weather stays keeps the courts fast. Will help him.

Nadal has won twelve of his 18 grand slams on the slowest surface of all (clay). He also suffers from knee problems, so not sure a hard ,fast surface will help him. However, he is up there with the all time greats so he will go close.

Watched Nadal's match last night on the beeb. Saying on there fast courts will help him. ball bouncing high. His serve doesn't look bad to me. He's taller than I thought at 6ft 1.

Watching Serena today got that feeling I'm not watching just anybody. I'm watching the most exciting sportswoman there is today. Again same with Nadal hope I haven't jinxed her I want her to win the women's single title at Wimbledon this year.

Not unhappy to see Serena lose today. There no denying that she has been and still is a tremendous tennis player and to her credit she was gracious in defeat to Halep, but in my opinion her on court demeanour and occasional diva attitude makes her difficult to like. Any mens final featuring any two of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic is a yawn fest. The big event on Sunday is of course our friendly with FC Magdeburg, closely followed by the Cricket World Cup Final (no Aus, no India - excellent) then the F1 British Grand Prix. Wimbledon has been a bit of a non-event for me this year.

Any final featuring Federer, Nadal and Djokovic a yawn fest. Are you having a laugh? They are up there with the best tennis players ever. The semi final between Federer and Nadal was fantastic viewing. I think Federer has to be ranked in the top ten sportsmen of all time. I would put Bradman, Sobers, Ali, Mayweather, Woods, Pele, Lewis, Redgrave and Phelps up there with him. i have probably left a lot of greats out but that's my top ten. Maradonna would be in there but you have to question how much drugs played a part . I suppose you could question Carl Lewis for the same reasons.
You are the top man on football Smiler but Tennis, i think you are misguided.

Told you with me it's not about breaking records it's if you have that must watch quality. Federer & Djokovic leave me cold. I know my tennis when it comes to Wimbledon. No man will fight like Jimmy Connors, my all time no. 1. Alex Higgins his charisma on the green baize will never be beat. O'sullivan thinks he's bigger than the game but he's not a peoples champion like Alex. whiston01 what's happened to you, keep with me I've forgot more than most know on here. Proved it with NH horseracing & snooker tips. You've got to live the game. I do.

Nothings happened with me Gwru. I know and accept i get it wrong and possibly my top ten is way off the mark, but i am willing to say i am wrong. As for you knowing your tennis !. I will just say Thiem and Zeverev and leave it at that.

I don't deny they are all class players Whiston. That's the reason they have been the top three for so long. They are three of the all time greats. It's just that i have seen them play each other so many times that it doesn't really matter to me who wins the latest instalment, and when I'm not bothered about the result I cant really get engaged. Just a personal opinion.

whiston01 I've watched Wimbledon for over 50 years. I only said Thiem & Zverev caused I'm bored sh*tless with the same players men winning it incl' Murray. Best thing about this Wimbledon was when he got knocked out of both doubles & you didn't have to see that horrible mother of his.

Gwru you have selective memory or you just cannot admit when you are wrong. If you look back to your first post this is what you said. "Two outstanding selections. One of these two got to have a chance. Fill your boots". if you have forgot more than most know on here then we have a very ordinary site. I do not believe that and i also believe a lot more on here know more than me and you put together. If you were talking about being the most controversial then i think you would be top of the charts. That's why i like reading your posts.

Gwru you said Thiem and Zverev because you thought they were good betting tips. You said to back them both and they were both dumped out early doors. As for your snooker tips, if you back Judd Trump every time you will win sometimes but over a season you'll lose money. Hes usually about 5/1 at the start of any tournament and wins a out one in every eight. How many times did you tip him to win the world title before he managed it? Horse racing I know nothing about except that on the whole regular punters lose money and the bookies make big profits. I seriously doubt that you buck that trend.

smiler whiston01 lv your posts. Gambling it's in my blood. We never mention the losers only the winners. Always believe you can win. Fancy Roth U next season if we get the right players in to complete the squad for automatic promotion.

I would not bet somebody else's money never mind my own on Rotherham going up. Where is the evidence there is always hope. After last season inept displays what else can I think lets start with a few wins and see where it takes us. You can get the the squad as fit as you want any fancy systems of play without quality players forget it the jury is out. I am going to every home game I would just like something to cheer.

I wanted Serena to win yesterday but well played Halep. She played the perfect game. Lv women's final & seeing the old champions. It passes the summer on while back at the New York. Going to pick my season ticket up tomorrow & get tickets for the two friendly's. Like look of the new away shirt, will be getting one.
