Yesterday should have been the deadline. Should be released now. Let's face it him & Newell they've been at the club too long.

Get rid had enough time as Barker says the cycle is over time to bring fresh faces in.

Major update: Forde tomorrow in the tizer. Got a feeling I'll be disappointed & he'll sign a new contract. Can't be giving a long contract to player not good enough for the championship.

Forde: he's got the step overs. Looks a winger apart from the end product. Lacks confidence. Needs a manager like Warnock who'd tell him deliver else you are gone.

Yes, because all players respond well to that sort of man management.  Is that really what you think Warnock does?  Is that how you think he managed to get Halford doing a job for him?

It's not worked with Warney's good human beings no raised voices type of management with Forde. Somebody tell me different.

smiler Phil Neville got the England women together in public after the 1st game with some choice words. Got to be done sometimes. Played better the 2nd game. Warney would do well to take note.

I agree that approach can work sometimes, but Phil Brown famously did the same for Hull at Man City and it had disastrous results. There is a time and a place.

Some players respond best to the hairdryer treatment and some respond best to an arm round the shoulders. You don't know what Forde is like as an individual gwru and neither do I. It was well reported that under Warnock, Halford had his ego massaged every day by Blackwell and every matchday by Warnock and they got the best out of him that way.

To simply say in terms 'Forde has been crap so he should be told to told to buck up or clear off - thats what Warnock would do' is ridiculous.

There you are, I've told you different.

By the way, you don't have any idea what Warne or Barker might have said to Forde or what they say to any players in private. They back their players in public as they should, but the idea that its all hugs and kisses behind closed doors is nonsense. They talk about being a good group etc but that doesn't mean the management team don't have hard word with players sometimes. They definitely do. Just because you don't get to see it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Taylor apparently has said he left cause he wasn't getting in the side enough. Don't think he deserved to be an automatic choice. Williams when fit did on the right. Could be a reason why he didn't sign a new contract. I wouldn't want to be behind Forde in the pecking order.

None of Taylor, Williams, Newell or Forde did enough to make themselves definite first choice picks. They all had plenty of opportunities and couldn't have any complaints about how much time they got. They are all players I would be happy enough to have in a League One squad, but I'm not losing a moment's sleep about the possibility of starting next season without any of them.

Forde can't see nobody any good will want him but according to the tizer final offer of a contract is still on the table. He's had long enough waiting to get a better contract offer, release him.

We've only released 5, add Yates to that list. Vaulks next followed by Ajayi & one of the left backs. We won't miss Taylor & Newell, Williams I'd liked to have kept but don't blame him for leaving he wasn't one of Warney's boys. Forde should have been released with the others at the end of last season. Never been a winger. Can't see clubs queuing up to sign him.
