Brad what is your problem. Pathetic only way to describe you. Never heard TH Miller knock our chairman. I've never doubted our chairman's intent. Great signing. Got me thinking if Smith is leaving. Can't see with the players we have playing 4-4-2. 4-3-3?

Read today Job Taylor fee was a lot less than £600,000 more around the £400 mark.

Ladapo is around half a million with add on’s. Great signing and fair play to TS for backing Warne and the recruitment team. Can’t always do it on the cheap.

Well, well, well...I know that no one expected TS to splash half a million and I assume the wage ceiling may have cracked.

Its certainly a gobstopper.

waits for applause...

Freddie's ready! Freddie Ladapo said to have had his medical today. 6ft 2 striker from Plymouth fee £500,000. Don't know how he's going to fit in but when it's announced most of you said we needed a striker, you've got one. 18 goals he scored last season.

 Up front hopefully gwru

I accept criticism I have not been happy at all with the relegation last season this ìs the Ist time in ages we have spent some proper money. The Vaulks deal has not been signed yet so when our chairman stated we are in a good place here is the proof hope it gives season tickets a boost welcome to the club Freddie.

 excellent point.

I think we all must agree this is very exciting for us Millers and will ease many a worried brow. It is a very good sign and lays to rest some of the issues around the difficulty of recruitment.  Does it also represent a change in wage structure?

On its own merit its a stunning piece of business for us. Its the kind of signing we have watched many small clubs like ourselves make as they evolved.  It lays a discernable flagstone. If (IF) we can add 2 or 3 more around him he could have another great season and the club will benefit in multiple ways.

I agree, as said earlier in the thread, partly depends on who we keep, but the core of the team is much better than when we got relegated the last time.

Assuming we keep Smith, we have him as a target man and two new strikers, plus potential for Vassell and Proctor to play some sort of part... so that's up front sorted.

Goalie, Center Back, Winger... ??

I really hope he starts with Crooks in the middle and builds the midfield around him

I'm getting a bit excited now, having been worried last week with the others signings falling through..

It's a start and nice to see us land our targets for once.

Tis but one player though and it takes 6-7 like him to play all season long to become a good successful team.

Rotherham will seem awesome compared to the S*** hole that is Plymouth (thought I'd get that in!)

You're letting your local allegiances get the better of you Ex! Always enjoyed Plymouth - particularly watching Man Utd beat St Etienne in the European Cup there after they'd been banned from playing at Old Trafford.

Plymouth is a very very weird place, also like Wednesday a touch of the massiveitus - thye also think they should be the capital of Devon.

Even the accent has got 3 eyes !

Strange one Williams going to pompey. He can't have liked something here. On his day our best winger from last season but had an inconsistent 2nd half of last season. Not entirely his fault, he got injured then Warney wasn't playing him. Think I'd have thought time to move on if Forde & Taylor were starting before him.

Williams was easily our best winger Ì think the reason he would not sign again he wants 1st team football. If our manager had played him more maybe a better chance of keeping him then again there is no loyalty from players only to there wallets. The Wildsmith rumours seem to be getting stronger they are getting a bit giddy on Twitter.
