Yes TH, if that turns out to be true it's better...

also stuff about us having another bid rejected : £200k for Dru Yearwood from Southend, so hopefully we can see some progress with us sealing a deal or two of our own in next 48hrs as well as Vaulks deal confirmation.

I was thinking last night, if we keep Smith (maybe lose Semi), and keep rest of lads on the books, what do we actually still need ?

For me : A goalie, a winger, a centre back and another striker. So actually, not much more is needed in my opnion. I'm assuming we will play 4-4-2, or 4-1-3-2 if we keep Semi (with him in front of back 4).

What do you think we need?

What do we need? Keeper Right/Centre backs Midfielder 3 wingers Forward. That's assuming Ajayi & one of our left backs are the only other departures. Palmer can go.

David it is a squad game, we need a squad large enough to deal with injuries and suspensions, a squad of 20 as PW says is very tight

"The news comes after Rotherham United’s initial £200,000 bid was rejected yesterday. Southend are holding out for a more substantial offer for the 19-year old, and Bristol City and Middlesbrough are now reportedly circling."

.. and this is exactly what I/we said earlier... (and the last 4 seasons) sorry to bang on about it, but the club is like a new born Bambi when it comes to negotiation and closing deals... so f**cking frustrating.... we just act as stalking horses for other clubs, agenst must love getting a call from our club...

Rotherham United and the words bid rejected go hand in hand.

I appreciate you don’t go steaming in with a silly offer but we don’t half waste other clubs time when it comes to cash offers.

There's a rumour circulating on Twitter that Vaulks has donated his entire signing on fee to Bluebell Wood. Don't know how true it is but if it is what a magnificent gesture from a fantastic bloke.

I agree but when we come in for a bid unless we agree the asking price then there will always be a bidding war and due to Tony reluctance to negotiate on a higher price 50k for example we will.lose out. Also heard that there are bids in smudge. Ayaji Robertson and wiles

We seem to be spending that tŕansfer money before we have got it the deal has not been signed yet looks as if it will be next week. Good luck to him at his new club I am still not changing my opinion Joe Mattock was my player of the season Millwall keep sniffing round trying to sign him I can understand why Purrington can't làce his boots we must try to keep him as I have said before make him the club captain and give him a 3 year contract need some experience in the club. I will be very surprised if we sign anybody this week.

So, Kieffer Moore went to Barnsley when Lee Johnson was in charge. That we all know. Was he out of favour after Johnson left for Bristol City. I'd say so. Would he be interested in coming back to us? Watch this space.

I am so enjoying this Summer weather inside my beach hut and wellies. So, there we have it.

Regards Mattock. Max contract I'd offer him would be 2 yrs. He'll be 30 then. Purrington looked ok to me in the league 1 play-offs but doubt he wants to be here.
