Do I really think that Warney, an intelligent guy, fitness fanatic, nay obsessive - is he going to join in the fitness test with his medical dept and see what comes out of it, scientifically? - answer is a resounding yes, will he gamble on that...a resounding no!
As Smiler put, broken bones are easily overcome (and I've also heard that mended bones are actually stronger). Ligament and cartiliedge damage, they're the killers. The ones that take months to heal (cartiledge doesn't) and further months of rehab, then further months of getting over it mentally.
Personally while the majority of the squad do need to be young athletes, we also need a couple of old heads in there. I remember this guy at Bmth too and he was class. Not sure he's the box to box type we need ala Frecks but can certainly pick the killer pass.
Think about the end of the season here...do you want to be getting promoted again so soon - or are you happy with a play offs finish or less?
Not be too pessimistic about his injury. Clearly he must be training and got to pass a medical. No reason as said that broken bones will kill a career.

yes, playing for warne is just a small part of what is important.
Looks like Yates could be going to Carlisle might be good move for him what about getting Wilks in from Leeds he could be a decent signing probably on loan.
