Vassell is the one going. Almost certain. Almost certain will be a loan keeper. No change there.

Looks as though Blackpool won’t budge on Tilt. New name is Marvin Ekpiteta, 23 year old centre back from Leyton Orient very highly rated.

Hope the keeper is in asap, will needs a week or two to get an understanding with the back four.

2 out 4 possible in àll the pre season training up in smoke. It will take 2 months at least to see if this squad of players are any good. We will have to change the song at NYS to strangers in the night.

Reported on sky sports Wednesdays and QPR are interested in signing Robertson we have seen what has happened so far this transfer window. Once agents smell blood they are gone I can't see it happening 2 years left on his contract get your wallet out the massives remember ALF they do not like to give the millers any money. As long as Richard Wood stays not bothered they haven't made him club captain for nothing. We did sign him from the piggies but I never held that against him.

If players get their heads turned by clubs in higher divisions offering more money it is difficult to do much about it, other than make sure that you have your better players under contract so that you get fair market value. It is as simple as that, unfortunately. Even then, if players don't want to sign new or longer contracts what do you do about that? Arsenal just lost Ramsey for nothing because he was willing to sit tight and see a contract out. It is difficult.

IF Robertson or anyone else wants to leave let them go, wish them well, get best value and move on. There isn't anyone to blame in that sort of situation. The player has to look after his future and family, and we don't want to turn down good money and then have a player here who doesn't want to be here.

I have never known a time when so many of our players were attracting attention and bids from other clubs. I'm taking that as a positive.

Out of all the leavers and potential leavers, Robertson would worry me most. Not only is he a class left CB but he has the ability to cover that LB position where we're short on cover. He also formed a good understanding with Ikky and establishing a CB partnership takes time.

I take Smiler's point that there is very little we can do about it particularly if players are seeking experience at a higher level. However, it's unfortunate that it looks as though we'll have new players all around the park. Having a reasonably settled back four would at least have offered us some stability.

I don't know if any of the potential incoming CBs - Tilt or Ekpiteta are left footed?

I found this old post from smiler the positive I was pleased to see that in the Titanic disaster nearly a third of the passengers survived. Although 1500 people died horrible deaths we can see that the Titanics owners did their best and their planning and management helped the 700 survive, I am sure the company will learn from this and I look forward to the new ships that they will launch. After all you cannot blame them as it was a very big iceberg.

Robertson unlike Ajayi he's got 2 yrs left on his contract. As good as Ajayi at Centre back. I'd say min' £2 million + add ons. Wednesday not in a position to pay that. Doubt QPR are. Got to stop giving players away.

I’d be really shocked if QPR or Wednesday who are both hamstrung with FFP being able to afford Robertson.

If rumours are true about a bid from Salford for Vassell then we should snap Salford’s hands off, a profit on a player who’s not scored a goal for us would be a rare thing.

Great to see Iversen in, very highly rated and looking forward to seeing him play.

Yes I'd be surprised if Robertson left. The 2 years makes a difference to a footballer and his agent. We are in a strong position with this one compared to other sales.
Happy to see more movement on the incoming. The irish and Scottish fishing won't do us any harm.

The Irish signing seems to be on hope it's a player that can give us a bit of width with a bit of pace. Going tonight give Brad Dockerty a run see what he can do. Not interested in the score just want to see if the newbies show some promise. Some one said Proctor was looking fit now that would be a bonus for us.
