Mathew Olosunde 21 Right back released by Man u said to be signing him. Source same who said we were signing Macdonald a good few days before it was announced. Forde gone not confirmed but again reliable source. That's when I will be celebrating!
Looks as if it is going to be a good week Forde not signing. Grant Ward he might be signing. A young full back from Man Utd 21 American celebrating with that news about Forde messed us about. It is looking as if 2 loans from a premier club there is one thing more chance keeping them for the season.
Looks like Daniel Iverson from Leicester is favourite to come in on loan as our keeper for next season. 21 years old, Danish U-21 international and kept 15 clean sheets for Oldham last season. Sounds promising.
I am out of the country for a couple of weeks and by the time i am back things are moving. Vaulks off for over 2m and a striker in for 500+K. Talks of a goalkeeper coming in, possibly a young full back and even Grant Ward. It looks like all our four wide men are off and no sign of replacements apart from young Lamy who needs time. Is the left back situation sorted? Time to sell Purrington in my opinion and make a good offer to Mattock. We have cover at left back in Robertson and Hinds.
We now have five strikers( not including Laythwaite and Kayode) at the club so i am assuming a move away from 4.5.1. or 4.1.4.1. Is it possible we could be looking at a 4.1.2.3 set up with a starting line up something like this. Again i am assuming we are keeping Smith and Ajayi.
Price or new g.k
Jones Ajayi Robertson Mattock.
McDonald
Crooks Wiles.
Ladapo Smith Morris.
This would be a very attacking set up and one i think you have a chance with in Division one because of the lack of quality to hurt you. I will have one last say on Williams. Good luck to him, but with his stats, five goals in 88 competitive games and the poorest assists of the four wide men i stiil cannot have the hype around him. He wasn't the best of our four wide men and as i said before the other three were no world beaters either. He has gone back to his first British club but i don't expect him to be a big worry to us when we play them. What i do expect is more flattering to deceive. Bring on the season our team is taking shape.
Welcome back whiston01. Potter Forde Taylor Newell gone it's like Xmas/Cheltenham festival rolled into one! If Wood goes it's like winning the Lotto! Williams I'm a fan, Portsmouth's gain. Ajayi not sure if he'll be here start of the season cause Warney f*ck*d him up keeping him in midfield. Macdonald looks another Potter to me, mates signing.
Richard Wood is one of my favourite players I bet you wasn't moaning when he scored those 2 goals at Wembly. We will need him next season where are we going to get a squad player as good as him.

gwru - you really are the grim reaper amongst RUFC fans. Ajayi was a disaster in the back four - indecisive and prone to the odd terminal error. Warney sensibly moved him to midfield where he was less likely to be so generous to the opposition and he had the chance to enhance his goalscoring potential. Isn't it about time you dropped the mates thing?! What possible evidence have you that McDonald is a mates signing - whatever that means. Give Warney a break for Christ's sake - he's doing a great job and this transfer window is looking particularly promising.
As far as giving Warney a break how many managers would have survived a 2nd relegation in 2 years if it was not for our chairman. If he is backing him so will I but that is as far as it goes wait and see how this season goes.

I think its a little harsh TH to blame Warney for our first relegation from the championship. He had no chance of turning that car crash around. He then got us back up first time of asking and did remarkably well last season with very little financial help. I do agree this season will define Warne as a millers manager.
I think Warne will not be our manager at the start of the 2020/21 season and here's why. If we do well and get in the top six and gain promotion a bigger club will come in. If he cannot get this squad in the top six in this division then i think he needs moving on. Its well known i am a big fan of Warne and feel pretty sure it will be him moving on to better things.
Gwru thinks Warney F*ck*d Ajayi up by playing him in midfield. Please don't forget that Ajayi won the March player of the month in the championship playing in midfield. I think Warney played Ajayi in that psoition because we lacked bite in there. I still believe Ajayi will mature into a better central defender but he still needs some honing. I expect Ajayi to have another season with us. Lets all give McDonald a chance before slagging him off as a mates signing. He is a gamble no doubt about it, but if he fails we can always move Ajayi forward and play Ihiekwe who did well for us on his return. I remember McDonald playing for Bournemoth and thinking he dictates play.If he can find something near that form he will be a big plus for us. I know its an if but give the lad a chance. UTM.
Football is a results business I do not hate Warney but that is the world we live in as far as soccer is concerned. Even managers who do well look at our loveable Scottish chappie we had a few years ago with his record he got the bullet. I hope we get off to a good start with winning a few games and see where it takes us.
Got doubts about Macdonald. He couldn't get nowhere near a poor Wigan side but could have been manager didn't want him there like Warney with JCH & Dom Ball. Give him a chance he's not put many miles on the clock in the last two seasons. Ajayi was an emergency midfielder, if he moves on it will be as a Centre back primely. Still feel he won't be here for the start of the coming season that's if clubs interested in him didn't see or forget last month or so of last season, he'd lost it. Wood, Palmer & Proctor to me are surplus. We don't need 5 strikers, if Smith stays loan Proctor if he proves his fitness out at least.

What do we want another 33 yr old left sided central defender for. We've got one Wood whose ready for pensioning off. Only rumours. Grant Ward failed his medical. Purrington signing for Charlton.
I take it that you don't know nothing about him apart from the fact that he is 33 and therefore should have been sent to a Swiss euthanasia clinic three years ago.
This is what Blades fans, who have seen far more of him than you have, think.

Not interested what any Sheffield football fan says. How many are from Rotherham? Which club in their right mind signs a 33 yr old left sided central defender when we have Robertson. What is there to be gained from signing players near their mid 30's? We've just got shut of Potter. Thought we had learned our lesson.
