Why not just release who they don't want & who they do want to keep won't agree a new contract don't keep who they don't really want. Forde too limited & Newell too many times not up for it no way would I keep either.
smiler you & a couple of others on here are a good reason for this site to close. You are so up yourself's it's unbelievable. What is the point in keeping players you don't want to keep when we know Williams is the only winger we have who could, I repeat could do a job in the championship cause that's were we'll be aiming to get back to straight away. Is that too simple for you or do you want to write a long winded reply saying nothing much as usual.

If you think that previous post of yours made any sense at all you have a problem. You were banned from one site and then decided to grace this one with your presence, since when you've treated readers to the same claptrap ad infinitum to the point where it's probably a good thing this site is closing for the sake of my sanity and I suspect that of a few others. But you believe what you like. Good luck to you.
It's like banging your head at a brick wall with some on this site. We are *****ing about with 4 wingers when we know there's only Williams who could be good enough if we get back up 1st go. Indecision doesn't solve anything, just avoids the issue.

I think what Smiler was saying gwru was that how you worded your post didn't make a lot of sense.
You say nobody has ever proved me wrong, but you go on hunches and not facts. Please read some of my past posts on Williams.I have said many times he flatters and when you look at his goals scored and assists they are nowhere near good enough. Now if you were to say all four were not championship standard then i think you might well have a case. Please do not tell me its what i see with my eyes, because i am nearly certain i have seen Williams in a millers shirt more than you have and he is short of championship standard or has been for us.

Thank you Whiston01.
I'm with you on Williams. None of our four current wingers came up to scratch in The Championship. None of them linked up well enough with Smith, who spent too much time running towards corner flags and out by the touchline and not enough time between the goalposts getting on the end of things. In fairness to them all, that had a lot to do with good teams pushing us back and us not having enough good possession.
All four might do a job in League One, but if they want to move on or won't accept reasonable terms with us let them go and if Warne wants to move them on and replace them I wouldn't blame him. I think that is probably where the club is at, which is fair enough.

hope we can persuade the four in talks still to stay. All very much needed in L1. Be very difficult to replace any of them I would venture.
Still, now that the season is ended and TS has given his full and celebratory backing to PW I am much more settled on cracking on and giving him and the players and any new arrivals another year of support.
Maybe we can pick up 4 strikers and keep 2 when promoted...UTM

I truly hope that I'm one of the 'couple of others' who gwru is referring to. I'd hate to think that he considered me an equal in terms of posting quality. Looking at a recent gwru contribution, he states "MM MB will miss my tips, my Roth U views.... I've never been proved wrong about Roth U...". For him to then accuse Smiler, one of the finest posters on this site of being 'up himself' is the height of hypocrisy but I'm sure gwru will see it otherwise. If you read this Smiler, I've enjoyed your contributions and our exchanges. Why not come over to MM - the water's fine!
I don't mind anyone on this site just I see things different. I can't believe any championship club would sign Forde, Taylor or Newell. Not up to that level. Out of the 3 only Taylor would command anything like a fee cause in the right set up he can get score goals, he did before he joined us but that was in league 1. Williams I know his end product needs working on but he's the best out & out winger we have played on the right. I'm thinking championship following season after the 19/20 campaign so what's the point of giving contracts out to players not good enough last season. I'd offer Williams a longer contract & give Taylor a 2 yr deal so we can recoup some of the money we payed for him. Warney said a while back we need a couple of new wingers so this is the time to do it.

Thanks Glenn. I have enjoyed exchanges with you and a number of other excellent contributors. When this site was good it was very good.
I don't think I could take life on MillersMad so I think I will pass on that. I read it from time to time. No doubt the great majority on there are decent people and good posters, but it also has the narcissistic multis with their baiting, sneering posts and I don't want to play their game. I know you can be selective about what you do and don't engage with, but I don't have your discipline and fear I would get sucked in. I think I will stick to enjoying the matches with the family and give the message boards a miss.
Thanks again to Exeter for all his efforts and all the best to you and the other good people on here. Here's hoping for a good season in 2019/20 and lots to cheer about.

Oh my days! Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.
'sneering posts'
'narcissistic multis'
Since when has MB been short of such? As I've already posted there's an old red telephone kiosk waiting to host the exclusive club of posters from this site. The overheads will be greatly reduced. Whatever happened to inclusivity? I guess it was never welcomed aboard the good ship Banter.
I've also noticed that one of the registered posters on MB has just jumped overboard. There were 516 registered posters it's now standing at 515.
I don't fancy jumping overboard. I would prefer to be barred. I don't fancy meeting up in a telephone box.

Wotsisname, with the end of the road in sight your whimsical contributions have taken a nasty twist.
There are posters on Mad who do little more than deliberately start inflammatory threads which they then fuel in one guise or another. Who they are and why they do it I don't know and I don't care, but it happens on that site and we haven't seen it to the same extent on here if at all. If anyone has been a multi on here they fooled me and possibly others so well done to them for that. I couldn't care less. I don't want to knowingly play that game though, so I will decline to join Mad.
No big deal. You see it differently as is your right. You do what you like. I'm happy enough and I hope you are too

Did you really believe that the good ship Banter was going to be decommissioned, smiler? It's just been a little drama played out on the ship's bridge. The Banter was taken into the Den where its business plan was allegedly pitched to one solitary Dragon. The Dragon has reportedly agreed to chip in with their time to become a moderator for an undisclosed fee. Nothing has really changed. By the way do you know if anyone wants to buy a second hand telephone kiosk? They make a very good garden ornament and an even better talking point.
Simon Wates at your service.
