Gk Rodak loan going Price Bilboe Verdict stick with these two but i think we will get a third one in Rb Vyner loan Jones Verdict we need another rb as cover CD Wood. Robertson Ihiekwe Ajayi Verdict wood is alas past it league one maybe Need at least two defenders. Ajayi going maybe Lb Mattock Verdict need Paddington back for cover and also look at him playing on left like he is for charlton Rm Williams Forde Taylor Verdict keep.williams Taylor Isn't a winger Forde can't get past the left back so can go Cm Vaulks Towell Crooks Wiles Vaulks Potter Palmer Verdict Towell would be a good aquistion for league one Palmer I would keep as.potter injury prone and despite others opinions iwould keep Vaulks prob going we have a good base to build one Lm Newell This is a weakness Newell on his day can be unplayable but need consistency we need cover or new blood Strikers Smith Vassell Proctor Yates Verdict Yates not good enough .can go proctor and vassell injury prone need at least 2 possibly 3 replacements

HM, no disrespect, however you lost me when you mentioned Paddington. I'm now not too sure about your take on the leavers and remainers. You didn't mention the two Balls in your OP either.

First of all an apology to Towdlad for misunderstanding his statement on Warnock. If he meant somebody of Blackwells ilk to help as a defensive coach then i am all for it. Best coach along with Alan Knill i have seen at RUFC. The problem is we cannot afford him as the wages and bonuses paid to Warnock,Blackwell and Jepson were eye watering.
Somebody said Potter is the best footballer at the club and we should mould the midfield around him, Crooks and Wiles or words to that affect. Why do you think that? Potter is 35 in December. Since 2010/11 season he has played 37 games in the championship. We signed him in 2017 and he has managed 16 games for us. He is an ordinary trainer and lack of pace is evidenced on the training ground and on the few occasions he has played for us. He needs moving on as his injury record with us should be ringing alarm bells. The role model for Wiles is very much Hamshaw .
Gwru thinks Smallwood is not a championship player. Smallwood is only 28 has played 84 games in the championship for us and since moving to P.N.E has played 78 games in a decent side. He would be a great signing for us if we could get him, but we would have to offer a three year contract and possibly the same wages as Billy Jones. Not sure he is available or if we are prepared to finance it.
The other holding midfield/passing centre midfielder is Matt Palmer. Still only 24. Played 47 times for Burton in the championship and 10 for us. He had a fall out at Burton with Clough around a family issue and the chairman. He is one of the players who is not happy with limited game time so will move on i believe. If Ajayi, vaulks and Towell go, i think we need to sign at lest two in the middle to go along with Crooks and Wiles.
We have Jones, Ihiekwe, Robertson, Woods, Mattock and Purrington at the back. As i said before i think Ajayi will go so a couple of defenders needed. Ihiekwe and Robertson can cover as full backs so a central defender is a must. Will Raggett come back to us ?
We have Smith, Proctor Yates and Vassell up top. I would offer Yates to Carlisle who seemed to rate him. That means we need a striker. This is where we need to splash the cash from sales on a young hungry lower division striker. The wingers i have given up on predicting. It looks like Forde is not happy with the amount of game time so could be going. A lot of work for Warne and co to do but exciting times for us fans.

Warney should get me in as his adviser on players in/out. I've proved I'm the best tipster on MM & MB. I go on what I see. Judd Trump it was pure ability. With Roth U it's good enough to play at the level you are in & lower next level up. Potter Forde Newell Bray Manny released. Wood Palmer Yates ship out. Only Rodak I'd keep out of last seasons loans in. Don't want any of players back we loaned out.

Whiston, no need to apologise mate, I should have backed up my short post with a bit more substance. But thanks anyway.

Having paid league 1 wages in the Championship Mr Stewart's budgetary policy will probably be to pay league 2 wages in league 1 ! On that basis i would expect recruitment to struggle. Hence the ludicrous possibility of giving slow sicknote Potter another contract. In many respects league 1 is quicker than the Championship and Potter would never get near the ball.

Totally agree with splinter. If we give Potter any sort of contract i think it will be an indication that either we are trying get up on as little as possible or as said earlier the chairman is getting some of his money back, especially if we get money for outgoing transfers.

Some will argue that TS should get a return on his investment in the club. I'm okay with that. Question is, how far do we tumble down the leagues before TS is satisfied? Perhaps his appetite will never diminish? Then what? We don't sign quality players? We continue to repeat the same mantra, 'In TS we trust'?

If you want to become a millionaire, invest in a football club when you are a multi-millionaire.
