Second half we went to pieces. When Monk put two runners up front we panicked. We were all over the shop. We lost our shape and were unable to defend the six yard box. Rodak did not get much protection from our back four. Much work to be done during the Summer. As an aside look how many Millers supporters turned out today wearing their team shirts. Noticed TS disappeared well before the final whistle. The knee jerk reaction is to engage in the blame game. TS knows what he should do during the Summer. It starts with I and ends in T. A six letter word.
Of course it is warne he is the manager and is accountable for gods sake. That team selection defied believe, wood and ajayi at cb again evans arrggghhhhh. Another manager that in monk that changes the game, warne has plan a or fail. Look at how many goals we have conceded in the last 6 games nevermind all season. We have the worst goalie for taking crosses and nobody to play alongside smith. Warne is in charge of recruitment as the head of recruitment reports to him and has been for 2 years TS stated that in an interview and stated money was available now if that isnt true then TS is lying. How many half times lead to us falling apart in the 2nd half? Now he will still be here next season but he has to improve his in game management for me. I just do not rate him but we are stuck with him so have to just put up with it. Very saddened about it
Why did our manager change the centre halfs he has got to take full responsibility for that shambles today I will be very surprised if he is our manager next season we need to do it now time to move on quickly completely out of his depth time to move the players on after today there is not one I would keep our new recruitment man is going to be very busy.
Very very disappointing. Yet another second half capitulation. We should have been 2-0 up at half time (Vaulks what were you doing?) Second half went to pieces nothing going forward & emarrassingly poor at the back. Note to Mr R Wood, you are not Franz Beckenbauer. Faultless workrate as always but I feel flat ATM. One positive in Crooks, looks like we've found a player there.... utm
Only Robertson we've brought in good enough this season. Crooks don't think he's a championship player, not got the pace. Be ok for league 1. From what I saw today next season the squad needs ripping apart. Ajayi & Vaulks will be gone. Robertson Mattock Crooks Smith build the side round them. Wiles to come through. All the wingers can go. All the loans can go back, don't want any of our players loaned out back. If Warney hasn't got it in him to sort it get somebody in who can.
I suspect that Wood was picked to go up against Jutkiewicz who is a big, strong target man. I'm not saying that would have been my selection, but I am guessing that was the reasoning.
Although we generated some pressure today, once again we didn't really create much by way of clear cut chances and when other teams put us under pressure we do look vulnerable. People accuse us of sitting back but I don't think we really set out to do that - it is more a case of pressure building up on us through sheer weight of possession and us getting forced back and being unable to get out. If every player on one side is 5% better than every player on the other side, it makes an enormous difference over ninety minutes and all the difference over forty-six games. It is that extra 5% that you get for your extra millions of pounds.
The knee jerk reaction when you are frustrated and disappointed is to look for someone to blame and lash out at, but sometimes there isn't anyone to blame. Sometimes everyone does their best and you come up short because 'best' just isn't good enough. I was pleased today that those who stayed until the final whistle applauded at the end of the match. I think most Millers (if not all contributors on here) recognise the realities of what they have seen this season and appreciate the effort that they have seen at beating the odds.
Smiler it's been a shambles from day 1 this season. Resisigning Price, Giving Wood a 2yr contract ect… somebody's got to take the blame. If they don't what is the point bothering next season it will only end up the same if we are ever in the championship again. Supporters need hope.
Çan't keep making excuses for the manager he takes the blame for that today should be gone by tomorrow gives us time to fetch some one new in we need a bit of hope for the next season in div 1 .
You both talk about taking the blame gents. My point is that there doesn't always have to be someone to blame, In this instance, I think we have done at least as well as any of us could reasonably have hoped and expected and I don't think there is any blame to apportion. I am all for accountability and if Warne had under-performed I would be in favour of us giving someone else a go, but I honestly think that although he is human and may have made some mistakes he has generally done a very good job. I honestly believe that we could very easily have been the whipping boys this season as we were two seasons ago, but that hasn't happened and for that I think some credit should be given.
I have lots of hope for next season if we are in League One. We will should start next season with the same manager who got us out of it at the first time of asking last time we were there, and he will be starting with the nucleus of a much stronger squad than he started with on the last occasion. If by some miracle we start next season in The Championship it will be very difficult for us again.
I do think Warney has got the best out of the players he has, and don’t forget he got us up last year when a lot of us, me included, were worrying about going to League 2.
BUT : I hope he is man enough to know he still has to learn and get better. Today and the last few games, he has to learn tactics of how to hold onto a lead, at any cost, including being professional (cheating) like others do to us. Also, you play your best team, you don't 'rest' players after 3 days... Wikki should have started, Towell (nothing against him) doesn't offer anything... etc, so hopefully Warne can look back and learn and improve.
Apart from that, all the players were a credit this season and whether they played well or not in any particular game, they all gave 100%, which is a credit to them and the manager.
So, what I want most is for the Club (i.e. chairman and his staff) to learn from this and previous seasons... mainly, we need proper negotiators dealing with transfers in and out... in any business, a good negotiator gets the deal done, doesn't start with 'take it or leave it' and doesn't lose a sale for a few quid... we have to improve there, including someone standing up to TS and saying they need financial 'room' to get a deal over the line. I think this poor business sense dealing has cost us our place in the Championship and simply must improve.
Finally... we MUST ask decent money for anyone we sell AKA Vaulks, Semi, Smith... if any of them go it should be for £2M+, nothing less, otherwise they should be wearing a Millers shirt next year. Don’t accept the first offer, have a price and stick close to it, don’t sell us out…
That's me done... have a great summer guys and see you when the transfer window opens.... we have a good basic squad to compete in league 1, whether we succeed is down to TS.

Great post Davidedin, I completely agree with everything said. Mistakes have been made & need to be learnt from, certain players have had their day at the club & need to be moved on & we need better recruitment, hopefully Rob Scott can provide said improvement. I hope he isn't afraid to look in the lower leagues for talent as there's a lot around.
I can't wait until May have a good clear out of players as I have said in my opinion the manager should go but if our chairman wants to stick with him I can live with it. I am more interested in what this new recruitment team can do for us we go down with no debt we should be able to turn things around quickly we just need some hope for the future get into div 1 with our budget should have a chance of being a top 6 team I just want to start winning a few games. Let's be honest if we had stopped up it would have been another struggling season at the bottom of the league my guess is Millwall will take our place next season.
I was talking yesterday before the game to somebody involved with the club. I talk to him regular. He knows my views. I've told him all season Wood & Forde wouldn't be at the club if I had any say. I told him Warney must have had a brainstorm to be playing Wood. Said Warney's got to go before the result yesterday. Remember when Evans kept us up that 1st season back in the championship his interview after words like heart & passion he used. He was right. With Warney it's like a womans world tea & sympathy. There's no fire in their bellies, they know under Warney there's going to be no boll*ck*ngs. Told you my choice. Phil Parkinson, good manager he had no chance at Bolton.

The people responsible are Tony Stewart saying there was a budget but in reality there wasn't so he he lied as well
Warne for team.selection and game.management rather lack off
Totally awful. What was it.12 cup ties. 7 cup ties 6 cup ties.
2nd half appalling . No discernable energy and motivation. Very bad changes. Bad performances
One can make an argument all day., or indeed for 3 seasons but I'm very sorry to say that the results on and off the field do not in anyway support his continued position.

Getting my season ticket tomorrow going with a heavy heart no fight in the team us Poor old supporters suffering again needs action to get the interest going for next season the performance yesterday I blame Warney he should walk deathly silence from the club makes me think something is brewing watch this space.
