The run in

We are odds on favourites for relegation, 3/1 on. Wigan are currently 6/1 against for relegation.

Have the bookies got it wrong?  Whatever the outcome it's gonna be one hell of a ride up to and including the last game at the NYS.

We need to stay on track and most importantly avoid the buffers.

Smudge has h!t scoring form just at the right time. Ajayi to continue his box to box darting runs with a few goals to add to his tally. Vaulks to punish defences with his masterful long throws.

Yes, it is a team game. Other players have had standout performances but consistency is required at this late stage of the season. I'm not advocating players needing to start pulling up trees.  For a crack off that could stir up some eco-warriors who may take that comment out of context. Plus we don't want Extinction Rebellion demonstrations down at the NYS. (Google it)  Look what they did inside the House of Commons a few days ago.

I'm sure Warney has got the players on side and they are pulling together. ( But not trees).

PS  I can't wait to crack open a bottle of Chilean Red.

PPS Other wines are available.

Rotherham United to be playing championship football next season I tip. That's one tip above all others I want a return on. Think we are going to need 3 wins out our 4 remaining games. Could possibly get away with 2 away draws & 2 home wins. Warney at last might have stumbled on the players to do it. Definitely want Crooks in midfield & Williams on the right. Not sure about the left. Me I would start with Taylor cause as I've said out of our wingers he's the more likelier goalscorer. Bring Newell on when Taylor has had enough. Taylor played well enough on the left against Sheff U at home. UTM

I am taking it one game at a time if we were to get a win at Swansea game on I can't see Wigan beating Leeds we just have to go for it leave to the manager to pick the team the players look like they are ready to give it a go a few clean sheets needed I can still see it going down to the last match never easy being a miller.

It's a funny old game as Jimmy Greaves said years ago. Less than a month ago Crooks was written off as a shocking signing and a division 2 player at best. Now he is a must for a midfield spot. He did well for half an hour on Saturday and has probably earned a start at Swansea.
The bookies have us at 1/3 to go down and i think that's about right. We have a chance but only a slim one. Seven points might be enough to keep us up. That's nearly two points a game. At the moment we are averaging under one point per game.I think that gives an indication how hard it will be to stay up. Nevertheless, we are giving it a good go and i still believe it will go to the last game. I just hope Millwall and Wigan don't go into the last game needing a point to stay up.

yes, its as it was really. One doesnt expect a great variation from the whole season thus.

If we play till doomsday I expect the gap will remain. However.  As the tape nears and the sprint starts then every step counts much more than the sum of the previous 26 miles. Do RUFC have a faster sprint finish than Wigan or perhaps Millwall?  Its Doubtful we can pull away based on the season and the last 5 games with RUFC only just in front of the ailing Bolton in last place over the last 2 hundred yards.

I echo your last point Whiston. What an utter shame it would be in that were the case.

Maybe I'm being overly optimistic about our chances of survival. No one wants to see their team sink to the depths of lower league football. However, on reflection I feel that the bookies' intel is equal to or greater than that of the ordinary punter in the street. With that in mind I'd say that before the next ball is kicked, we are destined for the drop. We've been in this situation many times before. I hope the team proves me wrong and I can crack open that bottle of Chilean Red.

Was it as nerve racking for you as well as me watching Wigan against Norwich. Clarke only had Krul to beat to make it 2-0, thankfully for us the Keeper got his fingers to it just went wide. Could be a turning point as well as our side looking better with the subs on 2nd H at Stoke. Warney got to go more now for wins. I'm not saying play 2 up front. Keep to what's got us here but Crooks & Williams on the right to start at Swansea. All to play for.

I always thought you played with your strongest team and I really want Warne to twiddle a but with his beloved 4 5 1 system And make it a 4 4 1 1 When he plays Smith up.front on his own he gets battered and the refs rarely protect him. Then when he wins the ball how many times has he had to go to the wings with it And We have no one bombing forward to latch onto the pass. Simple Warne has them too defensive coached. Play Forde is too defensive play Newell in left Williams on right Smith up front with Taylor behind him Ajayi holding with crooks and vaulks in midfield Time.to gamble a bit 2 points from safety

Hm get your maths right. What you going to do play 3 at the back. Taylor or Newell on the left, rest I agree with.

Still not got it HM. Assuming that you would play with a keeper, you've still picked a twelve man team. Or does 'Ajayi/Vaulks' mean that you would pick one or the other of them, but not play both? Surely you have to find room for Ajayi? And you risk a rocket from gwru if you are suggesting leaving golden boy Vaulks out.

I have got this right you are dropping Ajayi or Vaulks to play Taylor up front. No chance that happening, should never. 4-5-1 got us were we are. Keep with it but need to be more positive in our position.

Not crazy sacrifices. Don't want to throw games away. Crooks for Towell. Williams on the right will give us more of chance of winning today.

Hope everybody who is going has a good day. I am about to set off for a week on the North East Coast.
Swansea are having a good home run. Won the last five scoring 3 in their last three home games. Away from home they have lost the last five. This is a big ask for us to get anything. Swansea lost 4-0 at Q.P.R but had 70% of the play. We know from playing them at home that they have some quality on the ball and for me they are under achieving. We will not get a lot of the ball today but when we get corners, long throws etc we have to make them pay. They have very little to play for so they might not fancy the physical battle that awaits them. I think a draw would be a great result.
I would go for 4. 2 . 3. 1
Rodak
Jones Ihiekwe Robertson Mattock

Ajayi Vaulks

Williams Crooks Newell

Smith

Swans will want to keep their supporters on side therefore they'll be up for the fight. They too have to sell season tickets.
We are now running out of crunch games. Only four left to play. Winning two out of those last four matches would be an achievement in itself.
A word to our team. Stay off the Easter eggs until after next Monday's match.

A word to Warney? I haven't got one. He has done us proud.

Up and at' em you Millers!

Not expecting much today we can't keep a clean sheet they are a good home side and with there record I only expect one result I hope they can surprise me just got to hope Swansea players are on the beach if we do go down our poor away results are the reason one win and three draws more would have put us in a good position to stop up looks like I am hiding behind the sofa again this afternoon.

I hope Swansea players are all at sea. If they are on the beach, we'll fight them there. Today's not the day to wave a white flag. I'm confident that we will give it a good go. I'm also sure the Swans have the odd chink in their armour. Del Boy used to say, 'Who dares wins, Rodders. Who dares wins.' And that came from a guy who was the CEO of Trotters Independent Trading.

Come on you Reds!
