Taylor only knows one way same as Williams. Both don't defend. Just think Williams will get past his opposing full back. Taylor doesn't. Newell is the same not got a tackle in him. It's two from those 3 on the wings. But Williams he's got to play on the right.

Ian said " Tactics change games and we have no tactics". He is correct about tactics changing games as evidenced by Villa on Wednesday night. However, and i will say again how are we going to change our tactics. Play a high press, where we push further up the pitch and get the full backs higher up. We did this a bit in the first half with Vyner in particular getting higher up. Keep a high line and hope to make them play the long ball.If you do that you have to get your centre backs higher and are in danger of exposing a lack of pace in them. The better sides like Villa in this league have nearly all their players comfortable on the ball and are able to pass it around us. McGinn and Grealish in the second half found space and were able to go past our players, mainly because we have hardly got a player who can tackle. If you do play the high press and you get the ball you then need players to deliver the telling ball or hit them with pace in the final third. Grealish did this for their first penalty. Who can do this for us. We have tried Williams and he isn't at his best when allowed to roam. I believe Taylor would be the same but more like a headless chicken
Most sides like to get the ball out early to the full backs and pass it to the holding midfielder, or centre back who then dictates the play and brings in the offensive players. Rodak looks to hit long. Our full backs are not comfortable enough on the ball to play that style and we haven't got a holding midfielder who can pass it. We have tried 4.4.2 on a couple of occasions but all that does is weaken an already weak midfield and play a second striker who looks way out of his depth (Yeats and Vassell). Until new personnel are brought in changing tactics is a no go for me. We have to keep with the battlers, the long ball, the free kicks, the long throws and the corners for our way of winning matches.

whiston01 as I've already said we can't freshen it up much. 11 that started against Villa + Jones & Williams that's it. Wiles isn't ready for a relegation battle. Rest aren't good enough.

Derby you compared Dean Smith to Paul Warne.

Paul Warne currently has more promotions as a manger than Smith. Smith also works with a vastly superior budget at Villa and at Brentford.

The second half was poor, our game management on the field isn’t good
enough, possibly look into bringing in one or two with a bit more nous in the summer? Not crocks obviously.

Second half tried to hold the lead, why not chuck another forward on when they went to 10 and stretch the play - two wingers and tire them out; we swap a midfielder for a midfielder. Newell too lazy for me and not for days when we need energy.
