Bidding starts at £5 million for both Ajayi & Vaulks. Waghorn cost Derby a reported £8 million last summer from Ipswich & he's about 4 years older. He hasn't set the world alight at Derby.
And we moan about average british players being massively over priced, and that it's no wonder those that can look to the EU and beyond (then we moan about too many foreign players). Sounds like having cake and eating it.
Vaulks is not a milion pound player and Semi has to do what hes doing for longer than a month to be

sound analysis.
vaulks in the present market is probably worth up to 750. As with Semi, I cant see any team above mid-table wanting them.
As before... the value of a decent player to a small club is hard to know.
Likely scenarios range from a big enough offer to tempt the club to cash in before the contract is up to letting the player walk for wages.
The hole players like them can walk into is to find themselves at a bigger club unable to get much playing time. Its quite a risk for average type players doing well in relatively poor teams. Catch the eye and the media time but not necessarily bought with a clear plan from the purchasing team.
For young men, though it must be difficult to weigh up the idea of a huge amount of cash and their potential plus the possible consequences on their happiness.
I read the small article the other day on Lennon that suggested a trigger for his serious mental health illness was being left out of the squad
Here is the better article of the bunch though the later reports focus much more on not being picked to play
