Vaulks extension

Rotherham have taken the option of adding another year to his contract won't be here next season just hope we can get a decent price for him good news for gwru Potter will be fit for next season so nothing to worry about. Remember the club is always bigger than one player.

Vaulks slight chance of keeping him if we stay up. He likes/wants to play. Potter forget about him.

I said after the Blacburn game that Vaulks was priceless to us and i still stand by that. Long throws, energy, good in the air, scores goals, creates them and has a big influence on those around him. If he had a bit more composure he could play in the league above. I agree with gwru about Potter. 35 in December. Forget about him.

Will Vaulks is the embodiment of what we are as a squad. He is honest, hard working, gives his all and seems to be a really good guy. At the same time, he doesn't quite (yet?) have the quality to be a strong Championship player. A bit more composure on and confidence to get on the ball would improve him, and he does lack a yard of pace. On the whole he has improved this season and has done really well for us, so this decision was a no-brainer for the club, is no surprise at all and it is very welcome.

Good news indeed... either because we keep him - he's still improving in my opinion, great player for us, or

it means we get a better (sensible multi £M) fee if someone wants him badly enough..

With this and the recent departure of Johnson, I'd like to think the club are starting to address past issues with playing staff... i hope so.

Definitely gone in the summer how can we compete on wages plenty of clubs manage when they have to sell player just got to see if new recruitment guy can bring one or two decent players in might have to look abroad. No chance getting anything in the UK market all we are used for is to get the price up.

vaulks has been a stand out player. A real pleasure to watch him develop here. Never anything but passion.

He is a good footballer.

I think he'd easily fit in a higher championship team

We have taken the option of extending Ihekwe's contract for another year. Well deserved for the lad who has been outstanding since he came back in the side.

As long as we don't extend Forde or Taylor's contacts

Ihiekwe has been terrific since coming back in. He has got some pace that has come in really useful and he hasn't tried to over-play. When needed its gone into row Z and there's nothing wrong with that. Him and Robertson seem to have developed a good partnership. Its been a real plus (like a new signing) Ihiekwe coming back from his loan spell looking like a much improved player and full of renewed confidence. Good on him.

Let Warney get on with sorting the squad out if he want to keep Taylor and Forde I can live with it apart the odd blip we do compete lack a bit of quality wish we had the money. Look at Wolves lost 57 million Barnsley went down making 150 ground profit this is a very unfair league reward clubs who gamble like that. I bet FPL wouldn't hesitate to punish clubs like us and Barnsley.

Taylor thinking about it would take the option to give him another year. He can score, just he's not really a winger. Forde I'd release, doesn't bring enough to the side.

Ihiekwe has been a revelation.

He is a great example of the change that can occur when the right conditions and opportunities come along and a player can rise to it.

I think that the team is the strongest its looked since Warne took over. Evolution not revolution as they say.

Comedy gold from our own resident managerial expert, who tells it how he sees it and goes to home games.

Mean all.

Top cat what are trying to prove. I go on what I see. During a season opinions change. Wiles could be our saviour but is Warney brave enough. Not knocking our manager. He's not let us down.
