Cross for the Smith chance Wood headed back was from the right. Our goal was a cross from the left. Both taken on the outside. Cutting inside & crossing is food & drink to most defences. Newell isn't showing anything so that leaves only Mattock who can play on the left. That's why we have to play the 3-5-2 formation. Says Williams is back for tomorrow night. Also says we are looking at another free agent but Warney says he has a character wobble. As long as they haven't broke the law if they are good enough get them in. It's only for 3 months.

I know the cross for Smiths chance was from the right gwru but it was sent in by Forde who Heman indicated hadn't sent a good cross in all match. I agree with you about Taylor and Forde on the left but Forde has not done too bad when picked in that position. I also think Newell should have nailed the left side position down but his form or lack of fitness has meant makeshifts playing there.
I am not too sure about formation making that much difference. I used to think 4.5.1 was our only option and possibly still favour it, but we have to get midfield men up in support of the lone man. That is something we don't seem capable of doing. I cannot believe playing a player who would be at a division 2 team as the best option in a two man attack. Perhaps this character wobbler is the answer.
