Abuse of Vyner

I've only ever booed one of our own players - Dexter Blackstock. I booed him because after taking money for sitting on his backside for several months he put in a performance that stank of someone going through the motions. Zac Vyner is a young player. He is playing out of position in a struggling team against good class forwards. Yes, he has made some costly mistakes. He has also put in some decent performances. Yesterday he wasn't great but he wasn't the worst Millers player on view. The abuse he got when he went off was an absolute disgrace. The supporters (and I use the word advisedly) who booed him/ cheered the decision should be ashamed of themselves. The lad has never given less than his best. He has at least been available to play, unlike Billy Jones. What does the treatment say about our club? Which Premier League club is going to loan us a youngster in the future if that is how they can expect to be treated? Why potentially destroy the confidence of a player we might still need? What must the other players think of it? It doesn't do us any favours or any credit at all.

I only clap players who come off if they are worthy of it. Never jeer players. Never clap players who left & come back with another club. Saw Vaulks trying to gee Vyner up. Warney caused the situation. He'll have to sort it.

Warney put Vyner in this situation. From day one he hasn't been good enough. He signed Jones whose past it. You can't fool the paying fans. Warney don't dig yourself into a hole. Send Vyner back this week. Need a RB good enough for this level.

Whether he is good enough or not is not the issue, poor and embarrassing way to treat one of our own players!!no

I've never booed our own players off. That includes Blackstock & alot of the players Evans & Stubbs brought in. But it was the worst home performance of the season. In a way worst than WBA cause Brentford are in our target of games at home we could win. Vyner what can you say. Don't like to see young players doing their best getting this treatment. Shouldn't have got that. Blame Warney, head of recruitment. We haven't got a Right back up to this level. Neither have we got a left winger same. Newell ok to bring on in H games when he's fit. But can't see much being done about it.

Not sure it was our worst home performance of the season but i see what you are saying. As for not having a right back at the club. The man on the bench known as sick note is the highest paid player at the club, so somebody thought he was a right back who could do it for us. I have yet to see what they saw this season and his last one for Sunderland.
