I admit I only see black & white. If you in the 1st team you've got to be up to this level. I don't see Newell & Vassell making much difference. Out of the 2 Newell off the bench in home games possibly. Another two Forde & Taylor same. Hope Williams & Yates are out wide tomorrow now we have more options in midfield.
I don't see Newell & Vassell making much difference.
I think they may make more of a difference than you think?
Apologies for boring people with stats but...........
In Newell's 18 league games, we have racked up points in 12 of them (That's 67% of the time). We have achieved 20 points (4 wins / 8 draws) out of the 25 point total so far for the season, that's 80% of our total when he has played.
In Vassell's 16 league games, we have racked up points in 9 of them (That's 56% of the time). We have achieved 17 points (4 wins / 5 draws) out of the 25 points total so far this season, that's 68% of our total when he has played.
Newell can give us twenty five minutes sometimes in the second half can cross a ball as shown with smudges last home goal. Jury's out for me on Vassell hasn't scored a league goal this season. Need a win against Brentford home form has been ok hope newby gets to take part tomorrow.

I think we will, and have, missed them both!
Some might suggest that those stats have more to do with the fact that when Newell or Vassell are playing, Jon Taylor usually isn't.
I'm a fan of Newell. I don't think he is necessarily the best athlete at the club at the best of times, but I suspect that he has been carrying a knock for a while. He ought to be more than a twenty minute impact player for us. He has more ability than most.
To be fair to Vassell, he hasn't started a game yet in his usual position. He worked manfully on the left side when asked to and did a decent job there, but at times looked (understandably) a bit lost. I don't think we can judge him until we have seen him have a run of games in his preferred position.
I told you that you saw everything as black and white gru.
Ihiekwe, not Ihiewke played 35 games during our promotion season. And you choose to remember a manic five seconds when he made a mistake.
Every player makes mistakes, whether your name is Dr Gea, Kane, Van Dyke or Salah.
Learn to live with it.
You can have all the stats and systems you want if you haven't got the talent or the bottle like Guy Branston Chris Swailes it won't work . Swailes would be in in the tunnel before a match at Millmoor shake the hands of the opposition and appologise about what he was going to do to them that's what keep clubs like us up attitude attitude attitude.
I'm a gambler but hoping to win not to lose. Honestly would anyone on here risk Ihiekwe after last seasons play-offs? Then again Raggett & Wood are a risk. As for Vassell he's not a winger & we can't play two up front so where's he going to play because he can't play the lone striker.
Looking forward to the game today. No Forde or Taylor starting please. That's all I ask.
You're as quick to write people off as you are to sing their praises gwru. You've already gone too soon on Hinds, as you did with Bailey-King. Give them time to develop. Ihiekwe lost the plot a bit against S****horpe but for the majority of last season he was pretty good and he has done well at Accrington. If he was in the side today I wouldn't worry too much about him. Better Ihiekwe than Dom Ball. Smith isn't bulletproof and occasionally we have played or been forced to risk two up front. Vassell might well still have a big part to play.
Today is a not a must win it's a must must win if we lose I can't see us stopping up l don't like being pessimistic but with only 1 striker who has only scored 5 goals i can't see us beating Brentford 2-1to them.
