Usual 451. Raggett won't be fit. Assuming everyone else is I'd go with: Rodak; Jones, Ajayi, Robertson, Mattock; Williams, Towell, Vaulks, Manning, Vassell; Smith. The only close call for me is between Vassell and Newell on the left. I'm half tempted to throw Wood if only because the Blades ex Shrewsbury keeper Henderson would have nightmares if he saw Wood coming forward for corners!

Im afraid my conservative steak is getting wider.

keep the 451 as this blades outfit is meant to be very good.

I would play wood[ he will be far and away the most up for it and his form this season is very good. And he is an ever-present goal threat from set pieces. Not sure we can afford to be without him in this game.

Im tempted with newall over Vassell personally. I think its marginal as Newall has not been and is rarely at his best. However, he will provide more stability in the middle and he is not easy to dispossess. Vassell, though Im happy with him, has yet to convince me as a team player.

Im not expecting a win.

I will happily take a point now...theres a time for fighting.

Vassell can't play out wide, shown that. I'm bringing Wiles in at Right back, we haven't got one good enough.

Rodak; Wiles Ajayi Robertson Mattock; Williams Towell Vaulks Manning Newell; Smith

Hilarious really. Wiles he's right sided, quick enough, made of the right stuff. Vyner he's a weakness. Jones a sicknote.

Time to get our best young player since Brogan in the side. Hinds on the bench before Forde Taylor Palmer. All 3 are surplus.

Sometimes in an emergency you might play a central defender at full back or ask a defensive minded wide midfielder to drop in. But only in an emergency. You're suggesting asking a young central midfielder to make his first ever league start totally out of position in our biggest game of the season so far against one of the best teams in the league. Hilarious! What are you trying to do - ruin the kid before he has even started?

I'd go with Hillsborough and Smiler's selections. Everyone needs to be up for this one and there's more chance that Vassell will be up for it than Newell. Plus, I always prefer Newell as a late substitute when the opposition are tiring.

gwru - Rotherham haven't lost for 5 challenging games. Why on earth would you change it and risk Wiles totally out of position against one of the best sides in the league? You would do the club and Wiles endless damage! If Jones is fit, he's a shoe-in for me.

We owe the Blades one after that Wood/McGuire penalty incident at the Lane which gave them an undeserved and very fortunate victory. Should be a full house and I just hope the ridiculous timing doesn't take the edge of the atmosphere.

Wiles personal opinion. Sooner have him there than Vyner or Jones whose past his sell by date. But agree Wiles untried at Right back so in midfield. Vaulks can do a job at RB while January. Vassell definitely he's not a wide player.

Rodak; Vaulks Ajayi Robertson Mattock; Williams Towell Wiles Manning Newell; Smudger

I think Warney has three big decisions to make. The first is, does he play Ajayi in a holding midfield role. I have a feeling he will go with that. The second is, who does he play at right back. Jones didn't play in the reserves on Tuesday so he could be favouring him there. Then the problem on the left. With Manning unavailable on Tuesday i think he will play there.
I would leave Vyner at right back and play Ajayi at centre back but the vibes from Warney suggest he could play the following team.
Rodak
Jones Woods Robertson Mattock
Ajayi
Williams Vaulks Towell Manning.
Smith.
My team would be
Rodak
Vyner Ajayi Robertson Mattock
Williams Vaulks Towell Manning Vassell
Smith.

I would also go with Wiles in Mannings place on Tuesday against Q.P.R.

Sheff U are a proper side at this level. No big time Charlies but solid players. Win more than they lose.

We Roth U will win or lose this game with the side Warney starts with. Ajayi & Robertson have got to start at Centre back. Started this run with them there so leave well alone. Jones & Vassell can't start. Work it out from there.

Millers defender Craig Morgan 'clattered' Harry Maguire inside the box at the Lane in April 2014. The Blades duly scored from the penalty spot. Wood didn't play for us at that time.

Just checking you were paying attention Wots! You're spot on of course - I was suffering from shock at the time, hence the memory blip!

Cast your mind back to the Swansea game. We started with Taylor & Vassell on the wings. Williams in midfield. None of them worked that's why week after at Blackburn Williams & Newell were on the wings.

With that in mind don't think side will far away from Rodak; Vyner Ajayi Robertson Mattock; Williams Towell Vaulks Manning Newell; Smith. If Vyner is getting a mauling move Vaulks to Right back & bring Wiles on. But as I've said side we start with will determine the result. Hope it's not too late by time we have to make changes.
