Warnock and Cardiff

A motivational manager trying to get the best out of an honest bunch of players and trying to compete despite being up against competitors who have many times the resources that he does. Does it remind anyone of any other club? From what I've seen I couldn't fault their endeavour but they look like they are up against it and even the great puller of rabbits out of hats might struggle this time round. Because its Warnock and also because I can empathise with the frustrations their supporters must be going through, I hope they can adjust and survive.

He fulfilled his ambition on getting to the prem. He's old school, a footballing man first, personality second in a league where celebrity and personality seems to be everything, even over and above experience. Football will be a poorer game when he eventually retires. He's the last of his kind.

P.S. I even remember him playing for us.

I can remember Warnock playing for us. He played on the left but was right footed. Went to Bradford city 1970 when he scored the only goal with his head for us. He's never been successful has a manager in the prem'. But can't really compete with the financial clout of the top clubs there. But come down be a bigger fish in a smaller pond while the parachute payments last.
