for me he has got to go with same team barring injuries with one tweak proctor for smith
he had a guilt edge chance and should have put it away, Not knocking him at all as i like the player. Just think proctor deserves a start . shame warne wont play them both up front together
Unchanged for me. Smiths workrate keeps him in. Proctor will have to take his chance when he get's in.
One thing from Saturday, give Wood some protection especially in away games. Don't leave him exposed to a quick forward cause his instinct he's going to stop him one way or another. Somebody says he's only one booking away from being banned. Need Robertson back before that happens. Manning he's left sided, get him tracking back. Hoping Newell as well as Robertson aren't out for long, they are two players good enough to come in.

I can't think of any reason to change it unless its just for fresh legs. For example we ask Smith to get through a lot of work, and I don't think we lose a lot if anything by Proctor coming in if Smith needs a break. Otherwise, same again.
Shows how much we've exceeded expectations that I'll be a bit disappointed if we don't take a point, from Villa away!!
We were unlucky not to bring something back from Wigan, indeed it could have easily been all 3 points if we'd taken our chances.
But even if not tomorrow, which is a big ask, it would be good to start picking up a few away points... and also first away point gets that monkey off the players back.
Same team for me but our lack of a quick striker is painfully obvious. Smith is a poor finisher (despite one or two cracking goals last season) and regretfully Proctor looks even slower than before after that killer of an injury. Villa will offer a greater challenge than the pedestrian Derby . I expect them to be much more pacier and mobile but they are certainly beatable.
AV fans saying things like 'opportunity to batter someone' and 'its Rotherham FFS we have to win'. Maybe they haven't looked at the table. Some want us to win because it would be the end of Bruce and they want him out. It really plays into our hands. If we could score first, there's every chance the crowd would turn very quickly on Villa. Realistically we are underdogs but strangely I fancy we could get something from this game.
Way seasons gone so far would say we decisions/ last min' win against Ipswich things are going our way. Keep solid tonight & need to take any chance that comes our way cause there won't be many. Not going to jinx us with any predictions. I'll be watching it on sky so UTM!

We just can't go away to the likes of Brentford Leeds and Villa and play 442. We'd get ripped apart with the pace and quality that players like Grealish Abraham Kodjia and Bolassie bring to the party. The only game we started 442 we lost 5-1. We will have more winnable away games to come. I was proud of how we competed tonight but that bit of quality that they showed for the first goal is what they have and we don't. Fine margins.
The thing that worries me is that the way we set up & play away from NYS we will struggle to pick up five points away this season which WILL see us relegated as we're going to drop points at home.
We're nervous, tentative & frightened of making a mistake & if we concede first which we invariably do we lose every time....thoughts?
Trying to be objective Brad,. On one hand we have lost all four league games away and only scored one goal. Obviously we need to do better than that. On the other hand those away games have been at the top two and two other sides currently in the top seven and in my opinion the performances have gradually improved. We had about as many efforts at goal as Villa tonight. If either of Taylor or Woods headers go in instead of inches wide its a very different ball game and we probably get something from it. Its no good being gung ho and getting hammered regularly. That kills confidence. I think we are on the right lines.
Where I do have an issue is that playing one its no good constantly playing long to a guy with little or no support. We do need to try and play through .midfield more when we have the numbers in there. That's probably a confidence thing.
