One last thought from yesterday, Vyner did very well at right back. His distribution was a little bit wasteful at times but he also delivered a couple of really dangerous crosses and defensively he was sound. After a shaky start to the season he seems to be settling in - similar to Emmanuel last season. Good to see.

Never quite understood why no one rates Mattock yet think Purrington is a better player.

Great win and players deserve all the credit for the graft but we do need a striker badly - we had a few chances in first half to kill the game off and we have to be clinical at this level especially when you dont get many chances. However great match and fans behind team all the game. Bring on Villa - will we get Bruce the sack???

PW is learning his trade, looking after the players always supporting them on and off the pitch.

This result will really make people look at him , if he keeps us up and i have no reason to think he won't, someone will come knocking.

In the meantime, let's enjoy days like Saturday, i know there will be more days like this - hopefully when we play Wednesday.

At the current rate of points we should finish with 59 points and in 14th position, i will settle for that !!!!

I stand by my previous comments that the club should spend a little more in the transfer windows and take a little more risk...

But one thing we have to applaud someone for (Warny ?) is that the players we have brought in - in the last two seasons, signings and loans, have generally been excellent for the way the team plays and are all giving it 100%

I know there are a few exceptions, but overall, a great set of players with good attitude...

Mattock played well on Saturday, however he has a real anger issue he needs to control. We are one nil up and they are down to ten men and what does the Muppet do, lose his head and grab their player by the throat, very very lucky to stay on the pitch he could have cost us the game. Let us remember this member of the group of great human beings as already been convicted for violent crime against people (I understand women were involved) in Leicester.

He is a talented player Mattock, but he does seem to have mad moments where he either completely knocks off or a red mist descends. I don't think he could ever be described as 'reliable'. He is still better than Purrington mind you.

we did the best we could. Vaulks was amazing. Ref bottled it with the sending off of their number 5. problem is we never look like we are going to score we have no strikers that are good enough at this level. Board let warne and fans down in not spending something on a player with pace up front. proud of the effort but we cannot play like that all season heads will drop as the defeats and blank scoresheet mount up. shame really
