I haven't enjoyed a league game as much as that for a long time. Little old us turn over the big time Charlie's. Superb. The players and staff all deserve massive plaudits. I think special mention for Ajayi who was absolutely immense. According to Lampard the poor pitch was partly to blame for their defeat (?????). And the ref. And the linesman. And, grudgingly, us (a bit). Some of their fans are saying on their .essage boards that they shouldn't be slipping up against tinpot teams like us. Heres a top tip for them - give tin pot teams like us a bit more respect and you might not slip up as often. They all had this down pre-match as an easy win, and it looked like a lot of their players thought the same. UTM.
Couldn't fault nobody. Ajayi & Vaulks sure they are out of contract at the end of the season. Unless they have an option to extend there contracts get them on longer contracts. Both outstanding today. Hope Towell's injury isn't too bad, he made a difference. Vyner looked a Right back today. Going to have to hope Ajayi & Wood keep sound cause Warney says Robertson is out for 2 weeks.
Hell of a win cause Derby's budget dwarfs ours. UTM

An immense performance all round! After the first 10 minutes, we realised that we were in a game which we could get something out of. I thought the first half was a really good game of football and, on quality of chances, we shaded it. Lampard obviously told his players to come out for the second half and use their best professional antics to get under our skins and to influence the officials to their benefit. It came back to bite them big style and they were lucky to come away from the game without a much bigger defeat. It was one of those fabulous occasions when an expensive outfit resorted to underhand tactics because they couldn't match the honest efforts of a team they look down upon with disdain - and in the end, the good guys came out on top! Lost any respect I had for Lampard and Laurence.
I thought the Ref had a mare. His bookings of Wood and Mattock were totally unjustified. He constantly fell for double salco dives any time a Rotherham player got anywhere near a Derby player - Waghorn in particular. We could well have had a penalty in the first half when Williams went down in the area and we only got a penalty awarded in the second half because the Lineman saw what was obvious to everyone else in the ground apart from the ref.
The players can take great confidence from today. They have proved that they can mix it with the best and even beat them. I hope this gives them the confidence to be a bit more composed on the ball. With less haste and a pause for thought, we could have got 2 or 3 more goals in the second half on the break.
Finally, top marks to PW for his team selection and tactics. Now that he's proved that we don't need to sit deep against the better sides, I suspect he'll adopt a more attacking form of defence against anyone who comes to NYS.
And finally, finally - where's Bornamiller when everything's going well?
Can't stand Derby, been twice and that's too many. To compare the massivitus between Wednesday and Derby is to compare the common cold with the flu. Just a shame we couldn't put them in porta kabin changing rooms as well. Lampard won't last long, already using stupid excuses to justify that they lost to little Rovrum, nay I'll go further couldn't even score against us.
Brilliant 3 points lets keep this up at home - its where our season is won and lost
I’m with Ex I can’t stand Derby either. Big time Charlie’s from the players, management and even the fans. Past few times they’ve had the attitude that they could just turn up at Rotherham and do what they wanted.
Nice to see a ref be strong in our favour for a change but even without the red card we were miles the better team. If Semi Ajayi keeps this level of performance up he could go for millions, or in our case we will get a few hundred grand.
For h
outstanding performance and that is all we can ask, to give 110% and try to win games. Lampard is exactly what you would expect a exfootballer that thinks man management is his celebrity status and money. If I was the chairman of derby he would be in my office for a mouthful, asking him why his players showed no class no intrigity and the lack of emotional control was allowed by himself as well. Lampard is no leader he is just the nephew of another famous manager
Derbymiller Mattock stood up & was countered. Tell me a better left back we've had who was our actual player under contract with Roth U. Paul Hurst last decent one I can think of.
Lampard is like all these big time Charlie managers. Thinks his side just have to turn up to beat little old rotherum. Remember Karanka another one. When we beat Middlesbora under Warnock he couldn't take it. He went awol.
Good news sounds like Towell only had cramp at the end. Our midfield 3 of him with Vaulks & Manning was best it's been all season. Got to agree Ajayi was colossal. No thrills row z when needed.
Mattock has his critics but he certainly doesn't hide, rolls up his sleeves & puts a shift in. Yes he makes mistakes on occasion but I'm happier when he's in the team & like the other players yesterday he was superb.
Mattock played well, but what was he thinking lunging on on the half way line just after they had gone to ten men and we had scored? I thought it was 50/50 that he might get a red and that could have changed the game. Refs love to even it up and Mattock brainlessly gave him the chance to. But yes, otherwise he had a good game.
Mattock he's the best left back we've had since Breck. He's strong can defend, get forward. Can't think of one better whose actually been under contract to Roth U. I was never that big fan of Hurst. Same as he his as a manager, limited. Ok still he steps up a level.

I wasn't sure that Mattock committed a foul - but I was disappointed by his reaction afterwards when he went toe to toe with the guy he'd allegedly fouled - and we've seen him get a red for that in the past! Vassell was also fortunate to not get a red when he charged in to the post Laurence tackle melee. If you look on the Sky highlights, it looks as though the linesman grabs Vassell around the neck to stop him getting further involved - pretty slick move really!
The linesman was a braver man than I am Glenn. Vassell is a big unit. Mattock is rash sometimes. He had no need to dive into the tackle at all on a player who was going nowhere and right in front of their dugout where they were bound to make a meal of it. I'm not saying it was a bad foul but it was just daft and frankly unprofessional, and could have proved costly. That apart though I think he had one of his better games for us.
I agree on Vassell Smiler. With his power on the left and Williams'enterprise on the right, we have a perfect combination to play high press defensive football. The middle 3 of Towell, Manning and Vaulks/Ajayi look as if they have the ability to form a strong and creative midfield unit which should be good enough to go toe to toe with any in this division. Getting Robertson and Raggett back asap is key because we do look a bit thin in terms of replacements and any further injuries/suspensions could see us struggle. However, if you would have offered me nine points at this stage of the season back in August, I would have snatched your hand off!
