Birmingham City possible 12 pt deduction

Read over the weekend that BCFC could be handed a 12 pt deduction penalty for signing a £2m player, who by the way still isnt registered with the EFL.

Does anyone think it will happen, or will they get a fine like QPR & Bournemouth.

If it does happen, this makes the odds of us staying up better.

If it was us.. definitely a points deduction.

But Birmingham probably have better lawyers - so probably a fine for them.

i still reckon the book will be thrown at them - as they signed a player when clearly they were under embargo.

Lets see - as they have been struggling over recent years, and this could be the nail in the coffin for them this season.

According to one source it appears that there is room for negotiation between the club and the EFL re the actual fine, which will inevitably be imposed, and the points deduction which could be spread out over two seasons, this season and next season. Six points deducted this season and six points deducted at the start of 2019-20 season.
