Brighton Argus football reporter Andy Naylor expects Towell to return on loan to Rotherham tomorrow. Intriguing. Can't see us signing Yates as well.

Nottingham press reporting that Yates' move is close to completion also. If both come in, we're going to have options in midfield with Yates, Towell, Manning, Ajayi, Palmer, Newell, Williams, Taylor, Vaulks, Wiles, Forde and Vassell all being available. The limit of 5 loanees in the team will be important and will dictate who Warne can play. With Rodak and Raggett being 'must' loanees at the back, I wouldn't be surprised if PW played Vaulks at RB in place of Vyner to allow 3 loanees in midfield.

Team selection against Wigan will be very interesting - but I agree with Brad - I'll believe it when I see it!

I wonder if we might see Billy Jones at right back once he is fit, if we have to leave a loanee out.

We need numbers for injuries / cards two would be good. Match fit - ready for action in a month perhaps.....that's match fit - sharp. It'll be a good day for marketing if two come to pass. Fingers crossed !

If we get both could see Vaulks at Right back. But Vaulks he's our player for how long don't know? option to extend his contract next summer?

Couldn't see Ipswich letting Emmanuel go to another lower championship side. Says Towell can't play tomorrow, wasn't registered in time. Not sure on that. If he can play straight in. Will have to move Vaulks back to holding midfielder. Ajayi back in centre defence.

Have we not learned from previous player registration errors ? To not know the deadline time for signatures to be available for the next match is unforgivable. Is Paul Douglas still responsible for this department ?

As much as I welcome Towell back I'm not sure in the grand scheme of things how rushing him straight in as some kind of messiah is going to benefit anything? This is one game, yes it maybe one of the 'bottom 3rd teams' we need to be getting a points profit from - but even so is his inclusion going to impact anything? - I'd be inclined to think not?

Wigan will be similar to Millwall, where we'll be having to keep shape, and have large swathes of the game where we need keep disciplined without the ball and try and counter when we get the chance. Towell has had zero match time, and there are several new faces in the team. He will need to bed in, get digs, sort his family situation (has he got kids? - nursery school or whatever?).

Let's stick to what we know and bring him in the right way - that will benefit the group and him.

Hearing Towell can play today, not confirmed. Mattock available as well. Think it could be time to pair out two quickest centre backs. Ajayi & Robertson but doubt Warney will. Proved last Sunday play best players for there position. Vaulks Towell Manning in midfield looks good to me.
