"appallingly ignorant" - calling for a new managers head in 3 games having played some good teams - and all the "AS out" are more than counteracted by reasonably discussed reasons why - what - who - when - where things have been done. The "reasonable" posters appear polite yet anger permeates the AS out brigade...sound familiar ? Just on that one point....I call it trouble causing but that's for individuals to make their own decision on that one. I have no angst except against half truth and pure speculation.

My opinion for what it is worth is that you have some reasonable opinions (even if I don't agree with all of them), but you are always so certain that you are right and everyone else wrong that (combined with your abrasive posting style ) you alienate people. I know you are not bothered what I think, which is in keeping with your general approach, but I am trying to put my own responses to you into context. In my world it is just plain old fashioned bad manners (even on a message board) to call people k-heads and appallingly ignorant just because they have an opinion that differs from yours. There is just no need for it.

Those derogatory terms can be isolated to the type of folk that, for example; congregated around the players tunnel at the end of the Barnsley away match. SOME Millwall fans. But those with an aggressive attitude. MM was controlled by them - we're all teddy bears on 'Banter' although I bet the older ones have seen the TIVOLI in action - when called upon...lol. Suppression of opinions isn't a practical ambition on football sites although MM tried - with the MOD's culpable of gross hypocrisy. I see this part of our history one of the most important in the life of the club - that's why I studied it so closely - the results are easy to find and condemnation of them is easy - but the back story surrounding this period was disgraceful - propaganda from the club ( visit STAR et al ). You realy have to dig deep - but by digging you can find nuggets of information that can change the whole story. The EVERTON style academy was the biggest casualty of this issue although the first casualty in any war is always TRUTH!

"Again a slightly better ratio for Warne" just as a point of fact - I can never get my head around the stats people compare the AS days with PW. Good football people who ignore that AS had 7 players in his squad with weeks to go to the seasons start ( PW had a full fit squad ) AS had ****** all budget to fill the squad numbers . With these parameters AS didn"t have the time or money to gell something like 15 new players into a "team" - to win championship games. PW inherited a full squad at least who had been together for a while - AS's early days players didn't know each others first names. Just crazy ignoring the football facts of life. Just read the same old stat's that get bandied about but nothing about all those new squad players 3/4 of the squad - Freck's & Kirk crocked ( club captains ) and getting them all to gell in such a short time. NOT taking these elements into consideration is crazy. And all beyond AS's control. He didn't create the budget or cull the previous seasons squad. Crackers! I can understand why the club moles on blogs dismiss these things because the club wanted a scapegoat - but fans should remember what a mess NW left us in. Just selective memory. Anyway - two stunning loans before Saturday - whoop whoop...lol

A misunderstood and important part of our history. TS bottling his 3 year project was a crossroads for our club. One way - long term - academy based - top class football ( that some of our senior pro's ) "didn't get". The other road - back to being a league one club - managed by a rookie and a buying club without the benefit of a Sheff-U / Barnsley academy. The cost / risk / benefit was the determinine factor I guess - but that academy would have raised our club onto a different level - a better level. Long term. But it was Toy's decision. He saw the potential then bottled it. No one's fault but his - and his use of a scapegoat is / wasn't his finest hour. As for again!...arghh - if you're not interested in club HISTORY DON'T READ IT - BUT EVO's doing good - RM is constantly referred to....just getting stuff off my chest....I regret that TS bottled it - I think the academy route was the best way long term. Opinions - but you can't shut folk up for writing stuff they think is important balance - because I sincerely believe this period is controlled by club propaganda - and the vast majority just buy into it. I don't.

im not telling u to shut up i just saying alan stubbs is now history and you can learn lessons from the past and the lesson learned is to dont recruit a manager from the scottish league after one successful season.

Selective memory surrounding this issue and ignorance of the financial ( and football ) side of the club at this time is quite apparent but the following note was made and generally ignored way back when....Someone wrote: "I've heard it said that stubbs wanted blackstock on a short deal as a stopgap..if its true, then someone else is responsible for the 3 year job, and theyre still at the club.. just what I've heard thats all.." And it wasn't me ...lol...propaganda ! It matters not now as there is the one constant regarding this issue and that's why let the truth spoil a good story.

Don't believe you can criticize Tony Stewart after providing us with a new stadium and four promotions .

The above are two quotes from BaM on this post

"Someone wrote" who wrote it?

"I've heard it said" Who said it?

"if it's true" Maybe it's not?

"just what I've heard that's all"

Is this what you mean by half truth and pure speculation?
