It is strongly rumoured that we will start with exactly that team HM, except that Ashley Young is tipped to start at left wing back in place of Rose.
I would definitely start with Rose.
I would be inclined to start with Rashford not Sterling. Rashford seems to be better for England than for Man Utd whereas with Sterling his international form seems not to live up to his club form. But that one is a close call.
In the midfield only Henderson seems to be anything like defensive minded. Some of the games I have seen so far, teams have counter-attacked with real pace and effect and I worry a bit that we are get-at-ible if that is close to a word. If not tonight then in future games against the better sides.
As I have said before, I can't get too excited about the national football team, I think partly because the far-right hijacked it for their own purposes for many years (still do) which turned me off. But I will be watching with interest.

im going for the same team as monday with loftus cheek in for alli and this will be the last sterling should have if he cant score against panama then its rashford in front of him
Henderson and Kane are automatic picks. The back three/five - I would pick Rose instead of Young but the other positions look settled.
The issues are around the other forward positions. Which three of Alli, Lingard, Vardy, Loftus-Cheek, Welbeck, Rashford and Sterling to choose.
Loftus-Cheek is a big unit who is more of a midfielder than a forward. He gives us better balance as a second midfielder alongside Henderson - a spot where we don't have many other options (Dier is a Henderson back-up, not sure about Delph).
Personally I like Lingard a lot. He fluffed his lines with his finishing in the first game but he makes good runs, is difficult to pick up, gets into good areas and does the right things. He is an intelligent player.
Rashford seems to be full of confidence at the moment and has the x factor. Playing at his best he will frighten defences to death.
Vardy is a great option to use as a sub either when we are chasing a goal or in front and breaking quickly.
Alli obviously has a lot of ability but he hasn't been great all season. I think he tries too hard at times to do the wonder-thing when simple would be better.
Sterling has had 39 caps and for one reason or another he just hasn't performed well for England. I get that his pace is a threat and that he stretches defences etc but sooner or later you have to give someone else a try.
Welbeck for me is under-rated. Unlike Sterling he plays better for England than he does for his club side. He has got 16 goals in 39 caps versus 2 for Sterling in the same number of games. He works really hard and other players seem to play better with him around. I think he has a part to play for us in this World Cup.
So england v belgium would you change any thing the only thing inwould change from sunday would be young for rose but that would be to give balance to the team as young been right footed hasnt put a lot of crosses into the box from the left and give5s us more options

Young isn't great defensively either, because basically he isn't a defender at all. He hasn't had to defend much so far in this tournament but against better teams he will have to, and he could get found out. Imagine that we are playing Colombia in the last 16, their manager is going to tell them to get the ball to their flying right winger Cuadrado at every opportunity and tell him to run all day long at our left back, who is really a converted right footed winger. It is too obvious for words. I am actually with T71 on this one - I never really understood why Young was taken ahead of Bertrand particularly as Rose was not 100% fit.
Your comments appear to point to an early exit for the England team.
For that reason I think France will progress to the final. France appear to have the wherewithal to win the tournament. They are very resilient, solid and able to neutralise most everything that other teams throw at them. However, they have to beat Argentina first.
Great minds work alike. I picked France as outright winners in a free to enter competition. Brazil got abit lucky last night but hugely talented though abit frail in defence.
England tonight do we not play Walker Loftus-Cheek who are on one booking? Rose doesn't look fit to me, I'd try Delph as left wing back tonight. Side Pickford; Jones Stones Maguire; Trippier Lingard Henderson Dele Alli Delph; Kane Rashford
