Update : I'm at work and so asked my other half to do the calling :
The Wife called 'SEE' to ask if for information regarding the tickets in the family stand, the chap she spoke to did not want to talk to her as she did not book the tickets, this was due, he said, to 'data protection'. Even though she said I only want information on the Family Block rules, he said 'you must have 2 children to every adult', the Wife said that did not sound quite right, ‘2 children to every adult’? He replied those are the Wembley rules and would not tell her anything else, he was not interested in discussing our situation but did add, ‘you had better sort in quick though’! Not the best Customer Service I have heard of!
The Wife then rang Wembley Stadium and spoke to a very helpful person who said, no problem at all with the Block or, our ticket allocation or, the ratio of adults to children, adding, we would be fine. Wembley said the ratio is set by the club concerned (RUFC in our case) and to give them a call to double check but, as far as they are concerned we would be ok. After speaking to our lovely people at RUFC red & white shop, they confirmed all is ok.
Mini panic over….Now for the mini-bus…..
I’ll be happy Sunday morning, sat in the beer garden at the Green Man, ticket in my pocket and pint in my hand, until then!!!

What a shambles it is Archie! But well navigated by your good lady.
I'll see you in Block 140. I will be the one in the Rotherham shirt!
interestingly shrewsbury have just asked for and got about a thousand tickets to sell at their ground for those who dont do online...There are some seriously murky back waters in Shropshire.
Sounds like a tall story to me. Mind you some people aren't that IT savvy in some rural areas where there's a high incidence of cross pollination and genetically modified food farming. That's one excuse. The other is that they are very shrewd and not as daft as us who are prepared to jump through hoops to obtain tickets. 😂
Could be the second excuse, as the town is called Shrewdsbury.......

Good work Archie!
I thought you'd resolved my problem, so I tried the same tack. However, I soon realised that in the Family Area there are no concessions for over 60s. I phoned Wembley to see if this was a mistake and got the response 'that's just the way it is' - so you can't have children if you're over 60 according to the Wembley family model. Has anyone told Rod Stewart?
Fed up of ******ing about, I've gone for block 125 - almost directly across from yourself and Smiler. I'll also be wearing a red shirt - hope we don't clash!!
Is it a concern that it looks like we'll only shift about 15k tickets? I seem to remember that we sold quite a few more for the same fixture 4 years ago. Can't imagine there are many people who haven't ordered their tickets by now if they intend to go - there's no mention of pay on the day so relying on that might be a bit risky.
If there is a reduction in take-up, is it due to cost or are Rotherham people getting blase about appearances at Wembley or have we reached our limit? I don't imagine the sales will do anything to persuade Tony Stewart that a ground capacity upgrade is needed - whether we're in the Championship or League 1. The total sales for a play-off final must give him an indication of the potential pool of support that he could hope to tap into if we established ourselves in the Championship and at this rate, it's not too large.
Perhaps 12,000 is just about right - with a potential increase to the South Stand should we become regulars in the Championship.
There should be the option to pay on the day. Old fashioned and outdated perhaps. Some folk cannot be ar5ed to sit for long periods of time on the end of a phone or online. I'm firmly in that camp. Obtaining tickets for sporting events has now become too complicated for some of the less fortunate and IT savvy. I reckon Shrewsbury FC have pulled off a brilliant stroke by purchasing 1,000 tickets for those people who otherwise would have been excluded from attending such an event.
It would be a disappointing number Glenn for sure, but cost must have a lot to do with it. For me and two children to get there is costing approx £200 to £220 by the time everything is weighed in. I am sure you have all done your own sums. And it is a long old day. Committed supporters will pay it and do it, but it would be understandable if the casual supporter decided to watch it in the pub or at home.
I recall we took about 20,000 to the Orient game. I would guess we might end up at about 17,000 for this one.
Your point about this representing an indication of just how big our potential/overall supporter base could be is a really good one. I think this is probably a decent rough and ready guide.

I agree with that too. Buying tickets should be made easier. Pay on the day is slightly more difficult at an event like this because you don't want people in the wrong end. Imagine if we were playing Millwall!
