Having mentioned the above. I reckon Purrington ought to start instead of Mattock and see how we go.

Couldn't believe Williams MOTM. Who lost the ball for there 1st goal. Emmanuel was outstanding. Going back to what I said in January should have brought Dom Ball back. Both centre backs today were poor. Ajayi to start Wednesday for Ihiewke. Newell same in from the start. Still can't see what Palmer brings to the table. Not bothered if it's Mattock or Purrington. Two of our better players. Please leave Vaulks in midfield.

Had a few beers watching the game yesterday so got a clear head now. But haven't altered my opinion thought centre backs were poor yesterday. Only thing we can do is play Ajayi & Vaulks in central defence. Is Potter fit? I'd bring him in for Palmer. Play Ball behind the loan striker. Side Rodak Emmanuel Ajayi Vaulks Mattock Forde Potter Towell Newell Ball Smith

Rodak
Emmanuel
Ajayi
Vaulks
Purrington
Forde
Towell
Palmer
Newall
Lavery
Smith

Go 2 nil up then get wood on for Lavery and push Vaulks up.

That's the master plan.

Mattock more at fault for goal so i would play purrington to counter their fast right winger which would allowi newell the freedom to attack T71 i must agree with u this time i said countless times in january get dom ball back as he would be far better than ajayi and ithiewe in defence.

my team  in a 4 4 2 formation that would give smith more support

rodak

emmanuel ihiekwe wood purrington

williams towell vaulks newell

ball smith

subs taylor forde mattock lavery price ajayi

usual tactical changes but if needed he can take wood off and bring lavery on and go 3 at the back and front

Ps a lot if fans judged him on his performance under stubbs and maybe warne on his attitude at been loaned out. But i thought he would have been good for us in league one. Our current defense has the tendency to leak.

Going forward  if warne wants to succeed he maybe needs to increase his man management skills to cover the  prima donna as those are the players that can make the difference

this is not a criticism of warne just an observation

Leave Palmer in and play Taylor up front with Smith for first hour then bring Ball on to keep the momentum up front. Towell and Palmer will run the show for us - Williams Right and Newell left. I can never decide on the back four but Semi played well at S****horpe last time and keeps the hoof balls away. It will be more about style of play - we have to be bold and keep pushing instead of the usual 75 minute retreat into our half - Ball/Taylor to be ready for break from any set piece or attack they have.

i agree with that but would'nt Taylor best kept in reserve to run at the tired defenses

It makes me laugh on here. Palmer to run the show. Were was he on Saturday. Never saw him win a tackle or get forward. If we are going to play 3 in midfield sooner see Wiles in.

palmer was punished for every tackle by the ref they got away with a lot of fouls

and palmer if you looked at the formation was the holding midfielder

The Star's Paul Davis gave Palmer 7 out of 10 at S****Thorpe. I think that's about right.

"Palmer dispossessed" was used in the commentary far to often.....getting like Smallwood....slow and sideways and gets caught with the ball in dangerous places / cir***stances. He needs to get that spacial awareness sharpening. Again player development needed......but have we got the development coaches......Answer No
