HERE WE GO AGAIN!

9am Wed 2 May 18 - tickets will be on sale to season ticket holders for the home leg of the play offs.

9.20am Wed 2 May 18 - tickets unavailable on-line and calls to the ticket office 'cannot be completed at present, please try again later'.

God help us if we ever become successful!!

SITREP - 9.52am:

Tickets still unavailable on-line and calls to the ticket office 'cannot be completed at present, please try again later'.

Is NYS in a different timezone?
Have I misread the email and website announcements about ticket availability?
If there is a problem, why is there no update on the website or email or even as a recorded message on the phone line?
If the same happens when the tickets for the away leg go on sale, when 6000 season ticket holders will be after 2000 tickets.......????

Printed my ticket off the site at 9am ..no problems other than I didn’t know my password so had to get a new one!

It’s predictable that the phone lines and website will be overloaded due to high use and I agree is unacceptable from a customer point of view.

Got my ticket this morning for the home leg. Queue outside the red & white shop. I've never had much joy contacting the club online.

It was orderly chaos in the R&WS this morning. The queues were out of the door and the phones were being left to ring out. As a general rule of thumb, the club isn't really equipped to handle spikes in demand. They must be able to see it coming. The inability or unwillingness to increase the service capacity temporarily results in loyal customers (which is what we all are) being inconvenienced. It isn't a bigger problem than that and of course we will put up with it precisely because we are loyal so I am not going overboard about it, but it wouldn't be acceptable in any other service sector and it isn't very good.

Season tickets plus semi-final playoff tickets in the bag. What's all the fuss about? Still flying the Union Jack in the chess arena. Don't need tickets to watch me at play live on Instanchess website.

When I printed my playoff tickets, the barcode at the bottom of the page printed on a second sheet - has anyone else encountered this? It might seem a small point, but if say 5,000 tickets are printed this way, that's 10 reams of paper wasted.

Thank you.

Yes. I've had a torrid time health wise and not out of the woods ( when are we ever) but I got some resolve again and some energy so I thought I'd jump back in while the waters inviting .
