The fat controller's Posh side have blown the playoffs, only Argyle can catch us now & it'd take a collapse of monumental proportions for us not to be in the playoffs & we can put that to bed by beating the Gas on Saturday.
Hating an individual enough to affect your every statement is surprisingly ugly for someone who normally writes a bit a sense from time to time.
I said on another post though Peterborough should have had two penalties - maybe three
( seen them given ) and Blackburn should have been down to 10 men.
I fear the ref's more than any team in this league.
One good piece of news is that Plymouths on loan ( key player ) had had knee surgery - so that's a blow for when we play them away....and their late push for the play-offs.....
All the trailing pack has to do is get a fingernails grip on sixth.
Then the cup tactics start !
That's why the late runners are dangerous - they play HARD to get in then carry it through to home and away - WE are are already talking about taking our foot off the accelerator and resting players.....I said before - I wonder if PEP would rest players again.... that tactic cost City dearly.....a very risky play indeed......
Go for it - full speed - head on - take the momentum into play-offs and team in WIN MODE.
...and after tonight's defeat at Shrewsbury, Peterboro can't make the playoffs so its another season in the wrong league for the man and his Posh boss.

QUOTE Peterborough are just outside the play-offs when we have been comfortable - well within the play-offs for a good while..... The managers make a massive difference now - at squeaky bum time and as a purely football comparison I will be watching just where the two team end up. So for me - from now on PW will have to win his Spurs because from this position the end game is between PW & EVO.... Interesting ! UNQUOTE
As of tonight, we are guaranteed to finish in the play-offs (probably fourth) and Peterborough are guaranteed to miss out. At ‘squeaky bum time’, we have taken ten points from four games whereas Peterborough have fallen apart and lost their last four in a row. Under EVO, Peterborough have accrued eleven points from ten games, which is virtually relegation form and a far worse average yield than his sacked predecessor got out of the same group of players.
The play-off race is virtually run. The yes-man fitness coach who doesn't own a hairdryer versus EVO. Out of interest Bornamiller and as a purely footballing comparison, what conclusions have you been able to draw?

Well - when EVO's players stood so far away from the touchline at the NYS I thought they wanted refreshments without the *******ing...lol so they may not have warmed to his arm round the shoulders approach yet..😊
I did say that PW will have to win his Spurs during the squeaky bum time and for me he introduced the likes of Taylor - a combative player with a threat to many a defence and he's kept calm and carried on. He has reshuffled the pack with good affect. The boy done good.
The Bristol game was perhaps the most all round performance I've seen this year with the "iffy" players slotting in and playing without creating situations that could shoot us in the foot - so to speak - they were competent! And that's all we ask of them.
The comparison between styles you can see on sky when they produce a full program to analyse the very same syndrome - between ManU & Arsenal!
The comparison is an interesting one but history leans towards Sir Alex....because laterly Arsenal
( the nice manager ) has produced the modern West Ham.....
The best team in the league but no one will let the win....
I think - this year's Arsenal under Sir Alex would have been a mighty force - like anything else it's striking the right balance.
Your point a few weeks ago was that at squeaky bum time it would be the managers that would make all the difference. We have risen to the challenge and done the business. Peterborough have bombed out. As you say, interesting. And nice to see the good guy coming out on top.
I respectfully disagree with HM. Evans shouldn't be allowed anywhere near non-league football. Ask the supporters at Boston United.

It is good that the "nice guy" came out on top BUT!
Long term - you can't run with the hare and the hounds - the crappy - happy balance a manager has to bear is CHANGE. There will be collateral damage along the way AND the grit a team MUST have - has to come from somewhere.
So - the fight them on the beaches speech has to be carried with some adrenaline behind it - and with consequences.....and a Mr nice guy can only go so far.....the hairdryer has to be plugged in and ready or we'll all be happy having a pizza after another loss.
Never forget - the TEST in football terms is the championship - this league is bloody awful and we need to get out of it.....or perhaps not....
Welcome back Smiler.
Hope you've not just come back to finish this argument, I hope to see you writing your after match thoughts again, this site has missed your contributions.

Very kind DKNY.
Its no secret that I loathe Evans and I am delighted to see Peterborough collapse in a heap and (to use the man's own word) buckle under the pressure.
On the broader point, it is my intention is to now continue posting regularly but avoid getting into spats with anyone who has an agenda and will never change their mind. There is, after all, no point in that and no satisfactory outcome to be had. This is the only social media type thing I do, so I was a bit naive. I had to take a step back and think it through, and think I have learned a lesson.
