I agree with wotsisname that as we stand now both squadwise & potential investment wise we are nowhere near ready for the Championship.
BUT why all the negativity? After the disaster of last season we have had an excellent season. True we have a rookie manager still learning his trade & he does make mistakes both in his starting line ups & his apparent reluctance to use substitutes even when the game is going badly. Today was a heavy disappointing defeat but remember we were without two key players in Mattock & Towell, Purrington hasn't played for ages & after the bitter disappointment of Friday I kind of expected today.
We as fans have to lift the lads on Saturday against a resurgent Cod Army who have done brilliantly since Sheridan took over. We still need two wins & a draw IMO to get in the playoffs & we have six games to get them. #COYR

PS Bornamiller or whatever you're calling yourself lately.......F^^K EVO!!!!!

I am sorry if you think is is negative, not my intention. I am only trying to state what I observe and I do worry about next season rather than this, we need to have a good last 6 games, 3 wins, 2 draws one defeat will be fine

Brad ignore Bourne....... it's like derby has said before he says this gs to get a rise In regards to days match I think Warne got it wrong in a few ways with the benefit of hindsight The formation 442 Playing woods And playing Williams behind smiths should have been on the right with Taylor ball or laveryplaying with Smith This Saturday match is now got to be a performance to get the three points Fleetwood will be up for it let's see what Warne pre match interview is like It has to be more bombastic

Come on MB. Have I got it right about Palmer? Everybody who went today said he was same as the previous away game. He went missing. His lack of size puts me off. I don't always get it right. JCH doesn't appear to be hitting the heights at Coventry.

Been today started well but then faded away. We are a young team and it shows at times. Warne is learning and will make mistakes. We have been inconsistent all season but still had a good season imo. It’s not over yet and we still have a lot to play for. We have a good young manager with a young team another couple of transfer windows will see us improve. Just back the team and Warne and I think we will be ok long term. Not ready for championship yet clearly.

Brad your not a fan are you guy ! And your hatred is colouring your views.

I'm a fan of no one so I can talk about them all
( anyone ) without bias or favouritism.

History tells us what we're up against - we'll it suggests to me what we're up against ( you hate the man so he's invisible ) well we could do with some of his grit - and we need some right now!

40 minutes in the dressing room and PW had to borrow a hairdryer....lol

Squeaky bum time for sure.

Imamiller summed it up there really. We looked dangerous for fifteen minutes or so but over the ninety minutes the score was about right. We gave soft goals away. A poor defensive header from Emmanuel for the first, a free header from a set piece for the second and a third caught on the break. We missed Towell as neither Vaulks nor Palmer are the sort to get on the end of crosses or past the front two.

I was very impressed by The Valley. We were in the crumbling end but the view of their three sides was spectacular. A proper football ground.

We are still well in the playoff places. This is no time for those who want Warne to fail to pipe up. It is time to get behind the team. We have a six game mini-league situation. Some of the others have harder fixtures than us and we can still do it with a few calm heads and the right attitude.

If we don't manage it, it will still have been a better season than I expected and I will look forward to next. We are miles off being Championship quality but not far off being a top two or three Championship side. A solid year under our belt and improvements in personnel in key positions over the summer will see us right for next season.

What has Warne done to you Bornamiller that motivates you to personally disrespect him at every opportunity?

You shouldn't confuse purple faced aggression with grit.  Having composure under pressure is real strength.  Any t**t can scream and shout.

I am happy to stick with Warne.  He is doing a good job.  We don't win every week and we make mistakes, but the players clearly respond to him and although we are all (well most of us) disappointed with today's result and current form, I think most right-minded supporters are broadly happy with the progress being made.

Palmer was no worse than anyone else today T71, and better than some.  We were well beaten by a team that had the pint-sized Forster-Caskey pulling the strings for them and their best player was a 5ft 2in winger.  The issue today wasn't the midfield, it was a couple of instances of rank bad defending at one end, and they had more threat from wide areas than we did at the other.   Between the two boxes there wasn't much in the game.

 Good morning to you too.

I hope your prediction is correct, that would be a fantastic result as Charlton were one of the best teams I have seen this season.

I went to 'The Valley' a couple of years back, very impressive ground (from the inside), may be looking a little tired now but, impressive. Only problem was the Sat-Nav took me to the ground via the Woolwich Ferry rather than the tunnel, but that's a different story!! Parking was also an event in itself!

Unfortunately, I can't make it today (fourth missed game this season!) due to work commitments, so I'll listen to the game on the I-Player.

Good luck, and a safe journey to all the Millers travelling down to the game.

The journey was much easier than I expected Archie - the stretch from the M25 into the Docklands area and through the Blackwall Tunnel was incredibly straightforward.  Happily my SatNav wasn't playing up!

I think the Bank Holiday situation actually helped as the usual permit parking restrictions near the ground were lifted.

The stadium itself I thought was really good.  I love the fact that it is am updated version of their traditional home.  The fact that two corners are filled in kept the noise in.  Shame about the result, but still well worth the trip.

Just seen the goals on 5. The first two were absolute gifts. You can't go away to good teams and defend like that. Awful from Emmanuel for the first. Not sure who lost the scorer on the free kick but a free header six yards out in the centre of the goal. The third - was Purrington running in treacle? Emmanuel gave Purrington a fifteen yard start and still managed to overtake him to at least get a challenge in.

If it wasn't for our form though, the table would still look decent with six to play.

The thing is, we are still exceeding expectations for most Millers fans after last season. As pointed out above, to be in a play-off spot with 6 games to go is a fantastic effort from the players, Mr Warne and his staff and far better than virtually everyone predicted.

I for one have really enjoyed this season, some real high points. When compared to last season, I now actually enjoy most Saturday nights, I can stomach to listen to 'Praise or Grumble' on the way home and do not feel like crying into my chicken curry in the evening, happy days!

The team have proved that they are one of the top teams in League 1 and yes, I agree the Championship is a different prospect however, we are competing in League 1 and more than holding our own, the Championship is on a different page (maybe even a different book?!) and we can look at that if we get there.

The formation pretty much sealed the result before kick off. All our good play has come from playing 442 so why we changed formation yesterday I've no idea. Warne got it massively wrong and gave Charlton far too much respect, for large parts of the game there wasn't really much in it.

what's the news on Towell and Mattock injuries does anyone know?

Be good if we had the same team and formation as against Peterborough in my opinion. (Although I'd probably put Wood back in as he's more reliable)

Got to give Purrington game time to get match sharp. I always thought he had scope. Towell could be back sat', get him & Vaulks back in midfield. Palmer is a rank bad signing. Too lightweight, Clough would have kept him if he was any good. Sooner see Wiles play, he's a solid built player. Get Taylor up front with Smith. We've tried everyone else without success.

Smiler - stick to the subject matter if you can because you're seeing conspiracy everywhere - where there is none.

Any true fan not biased to the point of blindness can understand the interest of comparison of methodologies - of our inexperienced management and the one who gave us the best years in our history - who has studied the ways of Sir Alex.

Not a bad hero to have - to emulate and I appreciated his philosophy because players are like teenagers - see an easy way out and they take it.

I'm not disrespectful of anyone - but at the end of the day history will write itself.

The "Hero" I'm refering to is EVO's hero - Sir Alex.

As you will know EVO thought he was ( is ) Fergies mini me.

Still - a good philosophy to follow!

Sticking to football not hearsay - at this time - squeaky bum time - a philosophy is precisely what we need....however we have apprentices at the helm and trusting their recent management experience to pull us through.

Hope they do - but I have long since let football matters ruin my weekend....
